i’m told by my manager to provide extra fanservice along with another member

When told to give extra fanservice by their manager towards Piper, Taeyeon asked what they wanted her to do, exactly.  There had been times where fan service had meant some not so “innocent” things and she didn’t mind doing that within reason, but when Piper was concerned, she didn’t think the taller girl would want that as much.  The manager suggested a few things, just like extra hugs, sticking by her side so she could put her arm around her or something like that.  All of that was perfectly fine by Taeyeon, she could definitely stand giving her roommate more hugs.  She told the manager that she was comfortable with that and she’d be sure to do it.

Fast forward to the actual performance, Taeyeon was about to make her move to head over to Piper now that they had broken off into different areas of the stage to interact with the fans before their finale, and she skipped in that direction as the music continued playing.  She opened up her arms to the younger girl when she got there, and Piper immediately leaned down to hug the much shorter girl back, but then did something completely unexpected, she dipped Taeyeon down and kissed her. 

When they popped back up, Taeyeon looked bewildered and was blushing like mad, Piper just laughed and went back to dancing a bit to the music, leaving Taeyeon behind with more questions than answers.

Backstage after the performance, Taeyeon was hugged from behind by Piper “Sorry about that, unnie!  Manager oppa said that you would have been weirded out by that request, so he told you more innocent things to do so you’d be surprised. Apparently, the crowd loves it when you’re flustered.”  she laughed some more “Kind of ironic isn’t it, that he thinks you’re the one that doesn’t want to be kissed by girls?”

it’s the ending of the year. he feels it approaching-- steadily so, day after day, this year has begun to come to an end. it makes woohyun think back-- the nostalgia overtaking him as he filters through the things he’s learned, how he’s improved throughout the course of two thousand and fifteen. it’s whimsical, almost; how much he’s changed, what’s stayed and what’s left. who’s stayed and who’s gone. 

who he was a year ago is not who he is now.

the coffee is warm against his palms, clutching two of the cups as he begins to move his way through the familiar halls of kt. he’s on his way to practice, it still being far too early in the morning to function, but there are other trainees roaming around, getting ready for the long day ahead of them. he blows on one of the cups, sipping at it idly-- face twitching at the heat as he retracts with his tongue poking out in pain. “too hot,” he murmurs, eyes flickering up to watch where he’s going, only to pause, eyes going wide for a moment.

recognition settles, and he remembers to bow appropriately, a chipper (and nervous) “good morning, sunbae!” leaving his mouth. he shifts, uneasy-- before he extends the free coffee in his hands, grinning wide at the female. “you did really well on your performance, dancing queen!” his head bobs, cheery grin on his face (happiness is the perfect solution to a tired soul). “we all cheered you on!”

Seulgi wasn’t sure what to do with all that was going on in her head right now, so she decided to call on someone she knew she could trust, Piper.  The two had met a while back when Seulgi was introduced by a mutual dance instructor they had been taking lessons from.

“Unnie…there’s this guy I like…”  she began, her tongue sticking out a bit in thought as she paused, trying to come up with the right words.

“Tell me all about him!” Piper gushed, she hadn’t had much in the way of girl talk recently, so she pounced on the opportunity to do so with Seulgi. 

“Well, he’s nice, and sweet, makes me feel really nice…” she began, looking a bit embarrassed.

“I feel a but coming on…?”

“But…and I hate saying this, because I don’t want to come off as shallow…but he’s shorter than me…and it just feels weird…” Seulgi sighed, pouting a little at the other girl, who was stretching out long limbs.

“Are you sure I’m the one you want to talk to about that particular subject?”

He felt empty. Empty and hungry. But he would finally get to taste human blood since long. A young beautiful girl had accompanied him to his home. She was wandering around, watching the posters and photos that filled his walls. He himself was lying on the couch, on the side, looking at her pale neck. Such a beautiful child. Long ago he had a lover who she was a lookalike from. 

Piper was talking constantly to herself. The pictures on the wall were somehow mysterious and artistic at the same time though they were already yellowed and dusty. Gary himself was quite a mysterious guy but she didn’t mind it. It was fun to talk to him. They talked to each other as if they knew each other for a life time. She kept talking, jumping from one feet to another and enjoyed herself. 

She was quite noisy and that annoyed him but since she would provide him with blood he could endure it. Slowly he stood up and approached her. At that moment Piper turned her head to ask him a question when she saw him standing right behind her. They stared intensely and a shiver run down her spine. What was that feeling? 

That feeling reminded him of the past. The urge of letting her escape and contradictory he also wanted to never let her go again fought each other in his mind. There was a emptiness and great hunger and lust for fresh blood that bursted out of Gary, so why wasn’t he able to bite her?

she knew she’d made a mistake. 

it didn’t take the judgmental stares of passing trainees to tell her, nor the incessant buzzing of hyeri’s phone against her thigh as the girl’s friends and sister all texted her urgently, demanding the same thing of her: a secret, exclusive reply. but hyeri wouldn’t, and couldn’t, tell them anything the world already didn’t know.  dispatch was far too liberal.

“are you just going to stand out there?” she flinched as piper’s voice reached her. she was standing in the doorway like an idiot as her group’s leader stretched elegantly on the studio’s glossy floor, long arms and legs extended. how many times had hyeri rehearsed on this floor, song after song to train for debut and then-- after, when they’d reached it? there should have been scuff marks etched onto the floor of all the dance shoes that had scraped upon it and yet, no, it was beautiful. smooth. as if shoes-- and idols-- were as easily replaced as a new coating of wax.

hyeri said nothing as she entered the studio and dropped her bag down by the mirror. they were alone in the room but the tension the girl felt building up inside her made it extremely difficult to breathe. she was ashamed. horrified. unable to look at her leader in the mirror, let alone in person. “you didn’t act so mousy in all those pictures,” piper mused out loud and stood up straight. hyeri didn’t want to raise her gaze to see the disappointment in the elder’s eyes. even if she deserved it. “tell me something... was he worth it?”

worth bringing shame on the entire group? creating a scandal that reflected badly not only on hyeri but for all her groupmates, as well? the group’s reputation meant something to all of them but hyeri knew, everyone knew, that piper as the leader shouldered the greatest burden. the news had breached the tentative relationships between them all, poisoning the teamwork that was previously impenetrable and hyeri could feel it all. all that disapproval directed towards her. 

“they’ve replaced members in groups before,” piper said idly as she pushed the ‘play’ button of the stereo. their new song blared from the speakers and hyeri closed her eyes. the leader’s tone was matter-of-fact, not accusatory. and yet, what else could she be implying besides the obvious? katie lee had no soft spot for the caught romantics.

piper had said enough. lesson achieved. hyeri lifted her eyelids as the other stood at her position in the group number, as if she wasn’t weighed down with the heavy responsibilities of careless bandmates, hyeri most of all. back to business, as usual.

We're the New Face of Failure || Piper & Kyu

"Can't fucking believe you talked me into this.." Kyuhyun grumbled a little nervously, despite his insistance that he wasn't nervous. Of course he wasn't nervous; nervousness was for rookies, and he was not a rookie. He'd trained for five damn years to sing well, so there was no way, none at all, that he was ansty about stepping up in front of a bunch of people and singing a well-known song. It was probably because Piper had asked him to join her last minute and do a duet with her for her mom's parents. He didn't really know them, or care, but he rarely turned down an opportunity to sing these days- which was weird. But good. He couldn't explain why.

He huffed, even though he wasn't all that annoyed, carefully keeping his face controlled so as to not seem too eager as he fixed his clothes and hair to be presentable. "Are you gonna be okay out there though, Piper?" he asked, eyeing her a little. He knew she was an incredible ballet dancer, even though he couldn't ever remember actually watching her perform, but singing? That was a different matter entirely.
