Wendy couldn’t do anything else but nod in approval when the dancers of AND*ROMA presented the choreography they came up with. She doesn't know much about dance when compared to singing, but she couldn't help but wonder why they weren't allowed to come up with their own choreography more often. It's probably the same reason she isn't allowed to write any songs for the group.

She may not be one of the better dancers, but Wendy knows how to study whatever is presented to her. It's a skill she picked up from figure skating, piano, guitar, and ballet classes before joining the ranks of Nova Entertainment.

The concept for this cover is a rather exciting one. It's more in line with what suits their current age group, to be honest. Wendy feels like they're all too old to dancing around while waving lollipops or using a fake cute voice. They are so way beyond that age, so when the dance line proposes an edgier, more mature cover, Wendy is one of the first to say "Yes!"

Honestly, Wendy would have been fine being in the background for most of the dance. She isn't part of dance line and would have been fine if they got most of the spotlight. However, she was delighted to learn that all of them got their moment to shine. All of their dancers deserve so much better, and she hopes this cover shows exactly how good they are as a team.

Before she realizes it, D-Day for recording has arrived. Unlike recording for actual music videos, there's none of the usual nerves that comes with it. The dominant feeling she has is excitement. After all, this is a surprise gift to the fans after winning their first music show. After all, they were gifted with a win, they should give back as well.

To get people hyped for the video, Wendy has taken it upon herself to post a teaser photo of the cover. It's nothing too fancy, but she had to get AND*ROMA's name out there in any way she can.

Her part in the choreography isn't too hard to follow; however, Wendy had to spend a chunk of her time trying to push her hair back in a sexy, but subtle way. She only hopes she doesn't screw up when recording actually happens.

Recording was as fun and exhausting as it could be. After all, they're shooting the same dance over and over again. At least the other girls are a whole lot of fun to be with. She can't imagine being stuck in a studio, recording the same thing over and over again with anyone else.

"Thank you for all your hard work!" They all say when recording ends. Wendy can only hope that the fans enjoy watching this as much as they did making it.

「  ACROSS THE UNIVERSE  」

saturday, july 25th

the phone call a the end of june rang clear in his head as he walked to their designated spot, a spot that was only their during the evening and night-- the spot they usually met up at when there was something troubling either of them and the place he had confessed his feelings for her months prior. now he was headed there again, to the playground with the swings and the surroundings were bushes and small trees so they would be secluded from the rest of the world.

an ideal place to meet really.

now things were different, now he couldn’t walk out in the open without a worry-- he had to wear something that covered his face to some degree. even if he was a new member he didn’t want to cause people to recognize him to where he was going. a couple days prior he had been at the hair salon again, getting his new hair style for their comeback and currently he had black hair. hair he had to keep hidden but it was hot and a beanie wasn’t the ideal head wear-- but a cap wouldn’t be good enough either.

he had told their manager that he wanted to get fresh air, he made sure that he would be safe that he would see a friend. he wasn’t lying, juhee was his friend-- best friend, of a few years but his feelings towards her had changed since january and when then when he realized he was already confessing to her. jaehyun didn’t regret it-- he didn’t want to pressure her or make her feel rushed but when the suggestion to meet had come up, he suggested the park this weekend.

jaehyun’s heart raced a million miles an hour as he approached the park, it was late enough that there weren’t many people out walking and those that were outside... had their own thoughts to worry about and didn’t notice him ( which he was thankful for ).

once there, he made his way through the bushes and there she saw her-- sitting on her swing. jaehyun couldn’t help but smile at the sight of her, just for a moment he let the sight sink in-- it had been so long since he had seen her. quietly he walked over to where she was sitting, waiting for him and the moment his feet hit the gravel jaehyun knew it was useless to hide his precence.

“hey,” he said as casually as he could while making his way to the other swing.

sunmi had every advantage juhee didn’t: height and familiarity with throwing people down. but being smaller worked too in a way. she didn’t want juhee to end up feeling intimidated the moment she stepped on the mat. girls might be bigger or better trained but juhee had her own advantages too!

“okay munchkin,” sunmi began, kneeling on the practise mat. “you can never let your knee touch the mat. that’s a disqualification.” she stands back up in a crouching position. it’s the starting position for ssireum. juhee was tinier so holding the grips would be harder for her.

“you’re smaller so if you and your opponent spin, they might have an easier time making you lose your grip but--” she shows juhee where to grab. she enclosing juhee’s hand with her own to instruct her to grab tight. “you have the lower centre of gravity. use your height to throw them on their side or use your tiny little legs to lift and put them on their back.”

sunmi moved to grab juhee’s straps as well. “ready?”

「  ELITE UNIFORMS !  」

feelings and thoughts surrounding his new opportunity as  ambassador.

when their manager came to him on the 12th and explained to him that a company wanted to sign him as an ambassador he wondered just for a moment who it could be -- when he hears that it is a school uniform brand he furrows his brows and wrinkles his nose slightly. to wear a uniform again for the first time since february last year, he hadn't worn one since then and in all honesty he didn't think he'd ever have to wear one unless it was for a stage performance but here he would be modeling it.

he thought to himself that maybe someone else would be a better fit for the company but then he also remembered that he along with changmin were the youngest members -- so thinking about it like that it all made sense to him.

on the 17th when he entered the studio he looked at the uniforms that he would be wearing and smiled a little to himself, a feeling of nostalgia crept upon him and he remembered how him and juhee had become friends while they were both in high school. even if the uniforms he would be modeling were different than the ones they had, there was something about them that made him remember not only their first meeting but also their multiple other encounters. it had all lead him here, if she hadn't challenged him to audition for the commercial last year, he would still be in university and probably be playing for a professional volleyball team. maybe even preparing for the next world championship as well.

while he got his makeup and hair done, his thoughts drifted off to how different his life was now compared to over a year ago.

it made him smile, the female staff around him blushed but he didn't really notice that. it was a content smile, right now he was incredibly happy with his life. even if there were moments that he probably would want to change... at the same time he didn't want anything to change.

the shoot went over well and jaehyun remembered the last time he stood in front of a camera alone like this last month -- seeing the final product had made him feel proud and he was sure he would be feeling the same way after this.
