even when it should be much easier to meet another trainee or an idol from the same company, the reality was different most of the time. since everyone had different schedules in regards of training and practice, it was pretty hard to catch his friends. and even if he finally caught one of them, it was never guaranteed that they would be able to stop and take a moment to talk to him. which again made kt feel a little lonely sometimes, but that didn’t stopped him from trying to interact with his dear friends and colleagues, whenever there was a chance to.

and one of these chances had appeared, when he luckily caught sight of blue, who he jokingly called the first member of kt’s colour unit, during lunch time. with a big smile on his lips, he approached her. it’s been a good while, since they got to speak, but she seemed to be doing well. “hello, blue sunbae! nice to see you here. are you having lunch at the cafeteria?” the older man asked, before lifting up his lunchbag. “my mother made too much jeon for chuseok, so i am on a pancake diet right now. want to join me?”

❝ red flavor — ♡

          ariel barely waits for ahyoung to answer her before she’s dashing towards her roommate’s back, latching on from behind, arms encircling the other’s neck as she leans in til her chin’s on their shoulder. “ pssst, ” she whispers, knowing damn well no one is around and yet she demands the secrecy if only for the dramatics of it all. “ wanna sneak out to the convenience store with me? i’m running out of chocopies. i thought i had more! ” 

          then again, she does say all of the girls are welcome to her snacks and it just so happens that ariel loses track of her own chocopie indulgences. what’s numbers when it comes to happiness in a well-balanced bite of chocolate, marshmallow, and . . . does it could as a cookie? graham cracker? hm . . . anyway   —   “ my treat. i insist. besides, i— ” 

          saying it aloud is weird. she has an audition again and as excited as she is, does it mean she’s not spending enough time with the girls? how many nights does she get like this? how many more do they have in a lifetime? no, not the time to spiral down, ariel. what are you doing? with a subtle shake of her head, she bounces her chin lightly against ahyoung’s shoulder. “ actually . . . i’m kinda craving something else. should we go on an adventure? ” ( @rkxblue )

❝ gallery — ♡

          it’s just the day before ahyoung is meant to take photos for lafuma and ariel goes into their shared room to plop herself right across ahyoung’s stomach as she’s laying on her own bed. “ hi, ” she grins, propping herself up on her elbows to look up at her roommate. “ take me with you tomorrow, ” she whines. more than not having a schedule of her own, she wants to see the others along on theirs. as back-up, as support, as a cheerleader even. besides, seeing model ahyoung sounds like a good story for jinki and so she wants to take all the pictures behind the scenes possible. 

          “ come on! don’t you want to take me along? i’ll even ask for you ~ ” not that their manager is scary. ariel adores her, but her word can be pretty final in a way that even ariel doesn’t like to question if she doesn’t have to. after all, she just wants the best for eclipse, which is something they all undoubtedly want too. “ i heard you’re modeling sports wear. i really want to see that, ” she snickers, getting up from laying on ahyoung and sitting on the edge of the bed. “ are you excited for it? ” ( @rkxblue )

          “ have you tried playing our songs on hard? ” it’s a random question, she knows, but no matter where they are, if there’s spare time to fill and her hands are particularly restless, she can’t help but open the superstar app. proud that her highest records are for chichi, unit black, and themselves, she only wants to aim higher and higher. “ do you think i could try for the world record if i master the songs on hard? they make it so easy to get points on easy and regular though . . . ” that, and her precision, especially when she’s too excited or her hand slips, suffers from time to time. 

          “ good night is fun to play, do you want to try? ” holding her phone up and shaking it gently, she grins as she looks over to ahyoung, resting her head on her roommate’s shoulder. the waiting room doesn’t feel too stuffy today but that only makes it easier for her eyelids to droop, especially as she nestles against ahyoung, nudging her leg against theirs. “ i’ll forgive you if you mess with my record, ” she teases, though she’s not pressed about it, tapping freshly manicured nails against the back of her phone. luckily, she has more than enough earphones to keep playing. actually, she might have too many. ( @rkxblue )

⭐️⭐️ s-pop channel’s iqs // 이세퀴 !  ⭐️ — 14회: featuring ECLIPSE’s BLUE & ANNA !

it’s the first time since k.arma came to visit that chanyeol actually knows one of the members of the visiting group personally. granted, the person he knows isn’t the actual member guesting on the show, but it’s close enough for him to feel a little more comfortable than usual. he's never even met yeri or blue even once, has only seen them on television when he's able to catch a music show, but that doesn't stop him from waddling up to them as if they've been friends forever, because any friend of ariel's is a friend of his; that's just how it's always been.

he asks about how their dorm life is, how ariel is treating them, if she's a good leader, and in retrospect, it all might sound a little suspect to anyone who might be listening in on their conversation, he's at least able to get a peek into the life of someone who's both an idol and a friend, seeing as how he hasn't been able to speak to ariel since the holidays because of her busy schedule.

there isn't much time for idle---pun intended---chit chat, though, because filming begins almost as soon as they arrive, and he puts on his hosting shoes once again. it's a role he's become comfortable in playing over the past few months, and those are months that feel like they've only been a couple of weeks. he can't believe he's already more than halfway through his six-month contract, and he can't help wonder what will happen after that, if maybe he'll finally get an opportunity to debut before he has to audition again, or if someone better will come and snatch this job up and away from him.

then again, he's never been good at thinking about the future, so he pushes it to the back of his mind as he always does, and instead chooses to focus on the task at hand: making his current guests feel welcome, even if he'll only doing it for a couple months longer.
