if there’s one comfort that jihyo can find in her current job, it’s the interactions. it always warms her heart upon seeing a kid’s face light up when they discover that she ‘accidentally’ slipped the second toy into their happy meal. it’s the simple joys that get her through the day, and they’re most likely the only reason that she works up the courage to come back every morning. if she can make someone’s day better simply by offering them a smile and treating them with kindness, then it’s well worth it. who knows? maybe she’ll leave a good impression with a talent scout one day, and her entire life will turn around.

sometimes, however, she happens to cross paths with someone from her past. she’s lived a moderately social life, even if she doesn’t have the friends to show for it (mostly because people tend to take a disliking to her). when she spots a familiar face in her workplace, however, she finds herself grateful that her shift was just coming to an end, given that she’d like to exchange a few words with the girl. she was none other than yoo yeonjung, someone jihyo has known for years after meeting at occasional competitions and even attending sopa together. “yoo yeonjung?” the surprise is evident in her voice. “wow, i didn’t expect to bump into you! is... is this seat taken?” though the other may be in the midst of a meal, jihyo had no intentions of passing up the opportunity to sit down and chat with the other.

☀️️  first aid

she didn’t actually know they had a first aid kit inside the store, but it was a good thing that they did. jiae stood behind the counter, staring as people walked past out there on the street, when her eyes caught someone just falling down to the floor like some sort of rag doll. at first the girl simply squinted at the scene, unsure of what she had just witnessed - but as soon as her brain turned on the lights for an accident sunday jumped over the counter, running towards the door.

they normally left all of them closed during winter so the cold air wouldn’t take over the store, so jiae had to keep a hand on the glass while crouching down to check on the other. “hey, are you okay?” with the cold floor and a harsh fall she had probably scratched the palm of her hands, but hopefully it wasn’t anything too bad. though sunday had run out without grabbing her coat, the windy weather not doing her any favor. “why don’t you come inside? we can help you out.” though by ‘we’ she had certainly only meant her, and not any of her useless coworkers.

summer was the season she might as well have been born in because the summertime was where kaia truly came to life. it was like she had a rechargeable battery that was fueled solely by the summer sun and with it came a new energy to a girl who was told that the energy she exuded was already irresistible. even with the tiring hours from training and the meeting she was drawn to within the vibrate building concerning her modeling obligations, kaia still found time to hit the beaches and enjoy in the celebrating youth enraptured with the warm weather, salty water and the freedom that came with the season of summer. she had grabbed her bathing suit almost immediately after leaving the royal building that weekend and made a beeline for a gathering she’d heard was happening on the beach. groups and groups of people formed together and before long, the beach was flooded with millennials hoping to soak up some sun while listening to good music and eating good food.

or at least the food was supposed to be good.

kaia was working her butt off but maybe it was about time for her to relinquish her place at the grill for a more skilled hand. she was decent with baking but full blown meals? that was another story. she eyed the burgers on the grill meticulously because, well, they looked done but every time she split one open, it was basically raw on the inside. she was not trying to be responsible for anyone’s death but she was pretty positive everything had been set up perfectly. the nearest body would have to serve as a second opinion. tossing her dark hair over her shoulder, her hand reached out to tap at the shoulder of a girl she hoped would have better knowledge of this. kaia knew beaches but that didn’t mean she knew how to cook on them.

Little Adventure

Camping – Luda never had done this, but she was sure it would be fun! Sitting somewhere in nowhere, surrounded only by nature. Since their phones probably wouldn’t have much reception – if any at all – there would be even more battery left to take pretty pictures, both of the two girls and the pretty surroundings.

That had been the plan but Luda sighed as she stared at the rain, then turned to Yeonjung. “I think this whole camping thing isn’t going to work in this weather…” she sighed again. The girl really had looked forward to this – even if she may not have been the biggest fan of bugs. But with how much it was raining – and it didn’t look like it would end soon – it would probably end in a muddy mess. And muddy messes weren’t really her thing either.

She was trying hard to find a solution to this problem, but what could you do when you had everything packed for a little camping trip, but the weather goddess had some kind of problem with you?

beauty and the beast, one of dayoung’s most anticipated movie of 2017. call her a kid or whatever you’d like, but she’s watched the original an uncountable amount of times and she had very high expectations.

she rolled into the theater clad in a pair of light jeans, a gray sweatshirt swallowing her frame with her hair tied up into a loose ponytail. her mother insisted she dressed up more but who was she looking to impress? this was a me, myself, and i movie date and she had every intention of keeping it cool and comfortable.

after purchasing her ticket and an unreasonable amount of treats, dayoung made her way towards the theater - stopping at the entrance to access the seating in the packed room. literally, packed. dayoung almost hit herself for not thinking to come earlier, panicking that maybe she wouldn’t be able to find a seat. but she did, however, right in the center of the theater.

after one thousand excuse me’s and sorry’s, dayoung is finally able to sit down her drink and plop down into a seat. sighing, she squeezes herself between the two people - one a father there with his son and the other a girl who looked about her age. the previews hadn’t even started and the room was full of chatter, she couldn’t just sit there in silence. so opting for the teen rather than the middle aged father, she turned towards the girl and flashed a joking smile.

“didn’t expect it to be this crowded,” she attempted at the stranger, digging her fingers into the bowl of popcorn.

She was awake. Why was she awake? How long had she even been asleep? Ugh. It was going to be difficult getting out of bed without waking her precious baby... Ah, what the hell? If she was going to be faced with a sleepless night, they’d be in this together. Then again, it wouldn’t be too hard to get her to sleep again, right? Right. Herself, on the other hand, could be a whole different story. One thing was clear (and it wasn’t her eyesight)... she wanted ice cream. She picked up her small pup (hey, that rhymed) before groggily making her way to the fridge. Once there, she felt the cold air of the freezer rush out and cause goose bumps on her skin, and sadly, that was all that she was met with. No ice cream. Shit, she forgot that she had it on the list... that she ignored.

Oh, goddamn it.

Well, there was only one thing she could do, right? And no! The answer is definitely not ‘go back to bed’. What are you, a maniac? Obviously, she wouldn’t be able to sleep until getting what she craved, so that’s what she’d do. Who serves ice cream at 3 am? McDonald’s, that’s who. That’s where she’d go... She had to. But, oh man, she really did not want to have to go alone. Hmm. Who could she possibly rope into coming with her? It’s not like she actually had tons of friends lining up to be bothered in the middle of the night for something like this. Sounds kinda sad, but it’s not! Of course not, Hyunjung is a strong, independent girl who didn’t need no—

You know what, forget it, she was going to text Yeonjung.

of skipping and presents

jieqiong was a mostly well-behaved teen - she had her ups and downs, her rebellious and goody-two-shoes side. for the most part, the student likes to stay on her teacher's’ good side. attend class, stay out of trouble, all the boring stuff that made high school that much less enjoyable so she liked to have a bit of fun every once and awhile.

and her version of fun was skipping class and going shopping.

halloween was over and done with - it's practically christmas now and that meant christmas shopping. and what better time to go shopping when everyone was either at school or work?

faded pink hair lying freely across her shoulders and draped down her uniform clad back, jieqiong waited patiently by the entrance to the school - chin tucked to her chest as she typed and sent out a quick message to yeonjung.

&&* rkyeonjung —《` he’s having too much fun, dribbling here and there around yeonjung. maybe he travels once or twice but he’s hoping she’ll catch him. if she doesn’t, he’s still laughing as he dodges her attempts to steal the ball away. sure, it’s a cliche situation. cute guy teaches a cute girl how to play a sport? what a cute situation, but he doesn’t care for that. he’s the flirt of the century, what isn’t cute and cliche about him? he wipes at the sweat dripping along his forehead, lifting up his jersey and not caring if it exposes some of his skin. he forgets himself in the moment, forgets that they’re there because yeonjung has a sheltered upbringing so casual gestures and actions like that aren’t as common to her as they are for him, especially on a basketball court   》 yeonjung, do you want to try a lay-up? 

《` he chuckles, fixing his shirt, tugging at his undershirt to make sure he’s fully covered-up this time for her sake. he shouldn’t be so frivolous, particularly around her. is he the same guy who talks on and on about preserving her innocence for being a cute girl? yes, she should live life more but not too much. can’t get too excited there! the beauty is in the small things, after all 》 i’m not making a pun on my name, i promise  《` snickering, he bounces the ball in her direction, gesturing for her to bounce it right back (’it’s called checking, he says but doesn’t expect her to remember right away, it’s a lot to take in) 》lay-ups are worth one point, since they’re close to the hoop. here, i’ll show you  《` alley-ooping the ball with a distinct swish comes naturally to him and he misses the thrill of playing a league game when he picks up the ball again, looking over his shoulder with a broad grin  》what’d you think? do you get why it’s worth one point compared to over...  《` he takes long strides out to the center of the court, pausing when he sees fit, between the two-point zone and the three-point line 》 what do you think?
