Something I’ve noticed when I’m writing the brothers, is that Sam’s plotlines and potential are far more interesting than the Dean’s. However Dean’s dialogue is far more fun and interesting to write than Sam’s. But that’s when I’m writing them canonically. Tbh I try to make Sam a little more energetic when I write him, while I explore his trauma I also fixate on his queer and nerdy energy and try to bring that into light. When it comes to Dean I like to toy with his plot by bringing a darker side into light. My narrative typically doesn’t side with Dean, but I like to enhance his storyline by making him into a secondary antagonist of sorts. Whether he’s working under the villain in the case of corrupt hunters, or he gets in other characters paths because he doesn’t like progression... especially in the aspect of positivity towards Supernaturals.
