In the aftermath of Venomverse, Eddie Brock's life is in shambles, and the only good thing he finds worth living for is Venom. But his other is very ill, and in re-bonding with it, he made himself a fugitive and lost all his allies.

But Venom didn't. And Flash Thompson, though mourning the loss of his own bond with the symbiote, might be the one person willing to take a chance on Eddie and help him and Venom both. Flash knows the value of a second (or third, or tenth) chance, and comes to realize that maybe there's still hope for Eddie Brock, yet.

Maybe there's still hope for all of them.

The DJD Play Pokemon

Tesarus, the resident gamer, starts playing first.  Tarn realizes that his team is walking around holding up their tablets randomly and flicking things and inquires what’s going on.  He starts playing with the intent that pokemon walks could be a good team building activity.  …Before long he is ridiculously competitive.

Helex’s top Pokemon are fire types.

Kaon’s top Pokemon are electric types.

Vos favours Dark and Steel types.

Tesarus won’t put his pokemon in gyms and it’s because the only ones he keeps are cute, soft, fluffy things like chanseys, jigglypuffs and clefairys. They have names like “snuggles” and “fluffy.”  Tesarus begs Tarn to PLEASE not tell the others.  

Tarn also has Clefables but his top Pokemon is a level 3000 singing Lapras that is in permanent residence in the gym at the DJD base on Messatine.

Nickel doesn’t play and is constantly grumbling about “That damn game making me extra work” when Helex walks off the end of a cliff trying to catch a snorlax.

Some of the Warworld crew play, and while Tarn is glad that Pokemon is giving his crew and Deathsaurus’s crew some common ground to bond on, Tarn doesn’t want to let the Warworld crew know that *he* plays, for fear of what they would think of him.  Deathsaurus doesn’t seem to show any interest in the game, and Tarn’s sure not about to ask him.

…Until Tarn finds to his horror that his Lapras has been kicked out and replaced by a level 3500 Dragonite owned by “KaijuEmperor”.

I am going to say straight up, there are tears of laughter in my eyes right now, no exaggeration. I don’t know what I did to deserve this fucking amazingly hilarious piece of work on my inbox but fucking bless the both of you because this is fantastic oh my fucking grief I need to take a moment to calm down and catch my breath.

in the heart of the sea is about the ill-fated voyage of the whaling ship that inspired moby dick. it’s a very good read, although now i understand why @thistleburr‘s shipmates give her odd looks when she reads it aboard.

and trevor noah’s born a crime is amazing. it’s both an autobiography and an exploration and explanation of apartheid for white and western audiences, and it’s a really great read!

Not sure I qualify as a "young" adult, but I make mine everyday. I stopped for awhile for most of my 20s, then started doing it regularly 5 or so years ago.

Huh! Well, maybe I will actually start doing it again one day too. (or not, I’m lazy)

I know right? I do wonder if Damus was always a classical music/literature snob or if that trait only came about after he started following Megatron.

I completely agree. I don’t see my affection for Tarn dwindling any time soon, and I definitely plan to keep writing fic!

If this refers to my tags, they’re purely my pessimistic speculation, not confirmed facts :p I haven’t read the issue yet.

I’m not sure if it was yours or not xD I just saw someones tag and I went full on ‘NOPE’ and scrolled up haha. Thats what I get for not being careful!  it was a Tarn drawing so it could easily have been you, but knowing it was just speculations puts me in a better mood aahh haha :’D
