“ i’m afraid i have no idea what you’re talking about, rogue. ” he emphasized her name on purpose. scott wanted it to sound serious — adding in a frown to spice it up. he pushed up his glasses, a chuckle slipping from his mouth as he threw his hands up in defeat. “alright alright, I’m joking. but, i’m going to keep doing this look until you quit moping around. ”

dick looks up at the sound of that unmistakable accent, smiling when he sees @ro9ue lingering in the doorway. he was prone to getting lost in thought often, a side effect from being raised by bruce, and that also mean that he usually did his contemplating alone. he didn't even mean to wander off to ponder alone, but he wasn't so much like his father that he would deny some company, especially some company as good as anna-marie's. too many people were afraid or shunned her for her powers, but dick never once cared about that. she'd brought nothing but warmth and comfort wherever she went, and he'd find very few companions that could hold company as good as hers.

❝ i'd love some company, thanks. ❞ he offers her a warm smile, patting the couch cushion next to his. he's not entirely sure if she was about to start up a conversation or just let the silence ride out in pleasant company, but he wouldn't be adverse to filling the air with chatter.

arin   * freezes   in   their   tracks.   their   first   answer   is   to   stammer,   to   declare   then   and   there   that   of   * course   not,   they'd   never   follow   rogue!   they   weren't,   honest!   it's   hard   for   them   to   explain,   really   -   whilst   arin   truthfully   hadn't   been   following   her,   they   couldn't   deny   that   it   definitely   * looked   like   it.

arin   wouldn't   lie   and   say   they   hadn't   * recognized   her,   either   -   any   member   of   the   x-men   in   the   streets   of   new   york   would   guarantee   a   small   crowd   of   people   following   them   around;   pocket   knew   that   she   was   probably   on   edge   because   of   it.   maybe   this   would   be   their   in   -   there   was,   after   all,   a   question   they   had.   a   * dumb   one,   of   course,   but   still   a   question.

“ of course, chère.” remy grabbed ahold of her hand to press a soft kiss to it. she’s always right, he thought. that’s his motto when it comes to anna-marie. but, he had hoped his sweet talking could take him into having a day off. “ there ain’t nothin’ wrong with having a lil lazy day, no? ”

solid spread! this is more or less what he thinks of most people. he doesn't know rogue very well yet and there's always room to earn more dots!

she  was  more  than  fine,  and  to  say  lie  wasn't  impressed  would  be  a  whole  lot  of  an  understatement.  the  deep  appreciation  for  a  warrior's  strength  came  from  his  own  confidence  to  push  through  no  matter  what.  as  his  jorney  continued  and  his  body  got  forged  into  the  strength  of  the  fu  xi  sword  he's  used  to  wield,  that's  when  the  iron  fist  could  tell  a  spirit  and  body  so  strong  in  harmony  they'd  not  easily  get  shattered. 

the  battle  was  over  and  what  crossed  their  path  would  soon  be  gone.  agents  of  atlas  were  always  eager  to  extend  their  hand  towards  the  x-men,  but  beyond  that  ───  lie's  own  role  of  the  heavenly  protector  and  champion  guided  him  to  not  only  stand  for  his  city  but  for  any  person  whose  heart  beat  in  union  with  his  own.  anna  marie  was  a  strong  woman,  impressive  and  very  much  somebody  he  could  look  up  to  in  fields  not  only  occupied  by  the  battle.  his  hand  extended  to  help  her  get  up  and  the  smile  that  brightened  his  features  carried  the  light  of  thousand  suns. 

❝  there's  a  saying  ───  ‘  bǎi  zhé  bù  náo  ’  which  means  ‘  bent  a  hundred  times,  never  yields.  ’  your  skills  in  battle  are  impressive,  rogue.  i'm  sure  you're  as  fine  as  you  can  be.  ❞  the  exhaustion  was  slowly  catching  up  to  him,  despite  his  uplifting  speech.  his  chi  was  getting  drained,  and  to  say  he  needed  to  lean  a  bit  into  her  for  stability  ───  hoping  it  would  get  unnoticed,  made  the  iron  fist  look  for  a  path  leading  back  to  safety.  ❝  we  should  get  checked,  i'm  sure  it's  not  the  last  time  we  would  see  these  bastards.  ❞ @ro9ue
