Junkrat: *suddenly bolts past holding a laundry basket with their bedding*

Roadhog: laundry day. His favourite day.

Junkrat: *suddenly bolts back in holding fresh sheets* ARCHER! ROADIE! LOOK AT THIS! *unfolds the new duvet cover revealing a Sakura print amongst the cottage core flannel style reds and whites* I GOT IT YESTERDAY!

Roadhog: thatll look very nice with the bedroom curtains.

Hanzo: it looks very warm and comfy too!

okay i know i only got started here a little bit ago... BUT, i need to feel out if i should follow a premise for a rarpair in over watch that has a lot of potential. that being... roadzo, or hanhog whatever you wish to call it. roahog and hanzo are far and away polar opposites... probably farther then most pairs. but, lemme run this past you... they have a decent amount in common. 

Hanzo is a man tormented by his past deeds, the loss he endured in the name of traditions, he strives to find meaning for his life and to restore honor to himself. 

Roadhog is a man who was affronted by a change to his world he had a hand in helping to create. fighting back as a means to survive is no longer his goal as he holds a cruel eye and a deep pain for his losses.

so the AU i have in mind thus far is set in a city environment somewhere scuzzy but with enough glitz to bring in night life. Mako is the step dad to jamison, he works 3rd shift and for what it’s worth is a hard working man. he does his best to keep his step son on the straight and narrow but, his ex is no help at all and lets the twitchy pyro run wild as long as it doesn’t fuck with her life or draining money from mako. hanzo is and should by no ordinary circumstances even have met mako... but, as his life’s work slowly spirals into the control of someone who wishes to do nothing but rip it for all it’s worth, while his entire career is straining every relationship he has to breaking points. a chance meeting they find eachother... not to say they like each other at all but when someone can share a pain as deep as yours, you find yourself slowly relying on them.

that’s what i wanna write about.

Hanzo: *seated on the rooftop of the safe house, staring at the phone Genji had given him at their last encounter* … *sighs and takes another drink*

???: Australia might not have a lot of great traditions but one we have is not letting those we care about drink alone.

Hanzo: *nearly chokes on his sake as he spins around to see a very clean, very nicely dressed junkrat standing behind him holding a basket* J-Jamie I- didn’t hear you come up… what is the basket for???

Junkrat: *sets it down and unfurls a couple blankets before setting out their favourite takeaway and his phone* you been real bummed since seeing your brother again so I figured I’d try and help! *taps play on the music*

Hanzo: Jamie I-

🎶~somewhere, over the rainbow, way up high-

Junkrat: *holds out his still human hand to him and quirks a brow with a smile*

Hanzo: … *takes his hand and stands up holding him and letting him hold him in return* I don’t know what to do Jamie…

Junkrat: *slides his hand around his waist and gently squeezes the one he’s holding as they both share the lead in a dance* you’ll figure it out, you always do. But you an I both know thinkings a lot harder when you’re upset. So, let me cheer ya up babe…

Hanzo: *smiles up at him and rests his head against his chest* I love you Jamie…

Junkrat: I love you too Han…

Hanzo: …where’s mako?

Roadhog: *heavy breathing as he finally makes it up the ladder holding a bunch of throw pillows and an extra blanket* wait for me-

Hanzo & Jamie: *both immediately stop dancing and run to their boyfriend to pull him up* hold on!

🎶 If happy little bluebirds fly Beyond the rainbow… Why, oh, why can't I?🎶

Roadhog: *lounging by the caravan door watching the rain* …

Junkrat: *head resting against roadies belly, having a nap to the soft sound and smell of the weather*

Hanzo: *looking at them longingly wanting to join but fearing rejection and feeling unworthy of gentle love* …

Roadhog: *glances at him and holds out his hand* …

Hanzo: … *walks over and quietly lays beside Jamie as roadhog ushers him into place with his hand*

Roadhog: comfy?

Hanzo: *snuggled against him* yeah…

Junkrat: *sighs lovingly smelling his hair plus the rain, gently slides his arm around him* mm…

Roadhog: *gently rests his hand over them both and continues to watch the rain* …
