This classic roast beef po' boy sandwich will take you back to New Orleans. On top of a crusty baguette, it has tasty roast beef, crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and a zesty sauce. Great for dinner or lunch!
Ingredients: 1 baguette or French bread, sliced lengthwise. 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef. 1 cup shredded lettuce. 1 large tomato, thinly sliced. 1/2 cup mayonnaise. 2 tbsp horseradish. 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce. 1 tsp hot sauce. Salt and pepper to taste. Pickles optional, for garnish. Sliced onions optional, for garnish.
Instructions: Preheat oven to 350F 175C. Mix mayonnaise, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, salt, and pepper in a bowl to make the sauce. Spread the sauce on the bottom half of the bread. Layer roast beef, lettuce, and tomato slices on the bread. Close the sandwich with the top half of the bread. Wrap the sandwich tightly in aluminum foil. Place in the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until heated through. Remove from oven, unwrap, and slice into individual servings. Garnish with pickles and sliced onions if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
