So, I made a post awhile back talking about voice actors and a comedian named Rob Mungle who’s done a lot of anime voice over work.
Related to that post, I got bored and went digging for the anime in question.
Well, I found it, and I queued it up to the scene where his character says the infamous “Famiglia” line.
Just so y’all are aware, the dude knew DAMN good and well how the word is properly pronounced, but since he’s the only VA who went in and pronounced it right (and apparently none of the soundboard people knew how it was supposed to sound either) that he was told “Just say it the wrong way, and if people ask, we’ll make up some BS about ‘that’s how they say it in this setting’.”
Ah, gotta love moments like these lol.
Rob Mungle - Amanojaku, Ghost Stories
I always liked the idea of Valerie having a deeper voice than the Judge.
In my headcanon, despite being possessed by Japhet (spoilers, I guess), Valerie still has his own distinct voice. Otherwise, the Judge would notice right away something was up. So, it goes that Japhet as Valerie has one voice, Japhet as a little bird has another voice, and Japhet's true hoof-bird form has yet another voice.
Which means two extra voices for me to cast.
Yay.
I really wish that the Fire Emblem anime had been finished.
Mostly just because I like the franchise. But I liked how it explored the characters on a deeper level than in the original video game or the Shadow Dragon remake. Had a lot of big shot voice actors in really early roles too.
