I feel like a lot of players don't see this dialogue because they prefer to have HERO_SWORD take a swipe at Susie, but Susie's advice here perfectly sums up my own opinion toward the "bad" routes in both Deltarune and Undertale and, really, in video games in general.

A saw a poll recently on YouTube where someone asks, "Have you done the Weird Route yet?" like playing that route was some kind of inevitability, and I'm like no????? It sounds fucking awful??????

These routes aren't mandatory guys. You can finish the game without them. In fact, it's better for all involved if you finish the game without them.

These routes are designed to make you feel bad, and the set of steps needed to carry them out are so specific, you have plenty of opportunities to back on. Once you play them, you can't then turn around and blame the game for "making you" feel bad or "making you" do bad things.

The solution is simple. Don't want to feel bad? Don't play it.

Don't remember whether I knew this already, but if Ralsei hugs Kris after the Spamton NEO fight, Kris will turn to Susie expectantly like they're waiting for a hug from her next.

Considering the Chapter 5 reveal that Kris has feelings for Susie, this scene is if you can believe it even sadder in hindsight.
