Fighting for my life trying to make brown eyes interesting
I don't think I've ever been so stressed for a video game character's safety as I was in every single Sally scene with Gen. Byng.
[ID: First slide says "I've come to make an announcement..." showing Ollie Starkey looking down at Wellington Wells. Second slide says "Uncle Jack is a bitch-ass motherfucker! He pissed on my fucking country!" with Ollie in a similar position like in the first slide. Third slide says "That's right! He took his collaborationist traitor dick out and he pissed on my fucking country!" with Ollie putting his hands on his mouth to shout what the slide says to the people of Wellington Wells. Fourth slide says "But don't worry, Jack, because I'm gonna go higher! I'm pissing on The Parade!" as Ollie is urinating out of the parade float down to the Parade District. The fifth and final slide says "How do you like that General Byng?" showing the Parade District.]
We Happy Buns pt 2!
Pt 1
Reasons to love We Happy Few despite it’s glitches
1. Percival “Percy” Hastings: The older brother of Arthur Hastings, this character has autism and it seems the developers have done their research on the medical condition. Even though you only heard Percy in the memories, I want to hug him!
2. It’s mentioning of Epilepsy: This is something that puts a smile on my face. During the mission “Church of Simon Says”, you as Arthur Hastings, disguise yourself as rock idol Nick Lightbearer to get into the church to play Simon Says. An elderly woman guides you through the church, explaining it’s history. If you’ve got epilepsy, hearing a fictional old lady say “Did you know he (St. Genies) is the patron for epileptics.” Yet again, it looks like the developers did their research on this horrible medical condition I got diagnosed with (and have to take pills for! GIF summarizes what that’s like up to this point)
3. Sally fucking Boyle: Ok, let’s appreciate the fact that Sally Boyle is both a mother and a chemist. Sally loves her daughter and left her abusive boyfriend (Dr. Verloc) to protect her! She even goes as far as to try and talk to him again when her daughter (Gwen) is sick with the measles. When General Byng offered to keep Gwen safe, she refused and beat his ass, saying “I’m not your consolation prize” when he tried to treat her like a toy. Sally Boyle, the mother that goes through hell to make sure her child is safe!
4. Ollie and his PTSD: Ollie is a war vet, who lost his friends (who didn’t want to be prisoners of war and were killed for trying to fight back). He also has the spirit of a girl named Margaret who he says is his daughter, but we learn is Uncle Jack’s daughter towards the end of Act 3. Ollie was even responsible for the paper mache tanks, but he actually tries to undo what he’s done, even helping the people of Wellington Wells get a wake up call on the Joy before it killed them all!
5. The holy Yam: Nothing to say except that just made me laugh, a talking Yam that gives you, the player, the ability to eat rotten food, have thick skin or be as fast as a wolf, just funny. I laughed for a good hour or so after doing the mission “I yam I yam I yam” X”D
6. The Bobbys: The guys you love to hate. I swear I could walk up to one of them just to say “Hi, how’re you doing?” and they make a speech about how a crime scene is the concern for the constabulary. I just wanted to say “hi” to you ._.
