Did some more art for LA by Night! 😊
First is Robert Garrick from his debut ep (s3e5.) Its that scene where the Lasombra screw with his magic ball and do him quite a concern. Jason did a good job describing what it looked like, but I just wanted to *see* it.
(Also, we need more art of Garrick. 👀)
Alex Ward has an incredible presence as a Nosferatu without having to really go all out with the makeup, so you get the effect without having to see it, but I wanted to make Jasper’s ‘hideous’ veiny scalp more apparent.
Both of these were done with copic markers (and a little chalk pastel for the Obtenebration in the crystal ball. 🔮)
"In the world of darkness, the lines between enemy and ally can become rather blurred. Sometimes, when you want to achieve the impossible, you might find aid from a very unlikely source."
~amazing~ commission art by @feyspeaker! thanks eternally! https://t.co/KPDxkZ97aN
just let the prince have his cute warlock with the mutton chops back already
“This is the thing now that we do.”
Wow, Season 3 Ep 5 of LA by Night was WILD.
image ID: Ivan Van Norman in costume as Robert Garrick from LA By Night. He is wearing a dark grey single breasted jacket buttoned over a light grey single breasted waistcoat buttoned over a dark red collared shirt and a textured red tie. His eyes are slightly reddened, his mutton chops are trimmed close to his face and his hair is styled in a 1950s greasy-looking semi-quiff. His posture suggests physical awkwardness, with shoulders back and elbows held close to his body. In one hand he holds a gold fob watch, the other hand has beaded bracelets around his wrists and is angled in to hold at least one contact juggling glass ball against his waist. He has an expression of disdain and is looking towards the camera from the side of his eyes.
