#RP By @mediablackoutusa Tulsa Cop Kills Man By Opening Fire With Revolver Instead of Stun Gun By #MediablackoutUSA Writer @_9millinena Newly released video of yet another police shooting of an unarmed black man has added fuel to the already heated fight against police brutality. Eric Harris, of Tulsa, OK was fatally shot earlier this month by 73-year-old Reserve Deputy Robert Bates during an arrest. The officer claims the shooting was an accident, and that he intended to taser Harris instead. The pursuit of Harris is captured on an officer’s bodycam, as Harris attempted to flee from police on foot. Taken to the ground by an officer, Bates can be heard saying “Taser,” before a gunshot is released. Bates then says “I shot him” and shortly after “I’m sorry.” However, the disturbing actions come after the shooting when other officers continue to pin Harris to the ground. In the video, Harris can be heard saying “He shot me! He shot me, man. Oh, my god. I’m losing my breath,” to which he did not receive any aid. “Fuck your breath. Shut the fuck up,” an officer can be heard replying to Harris’ pleas as he is held down by the neck. He was pronounced dead an hour later at the hospital. According to the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office, Harris was being taken into custody for selling a 9mm semiautomatic pistol and ammunition to undercover cops. Despite the shocking video footage, officers involved have said they didn't realize Harris had been shot and didn't call for medical help for some time.
