A cute, young Stoat - proof there are cute animals everywhere; perhaps even in your backyard or back garden as the Brits would say. Stoats are in the weasel family. These are native to Eurasia and migrated to North America some 500,000 years ago. Unfortunately stoats were introduced by humans to New Zealand where they have become a pest, killing many native bird species. Another example of humans messing with nature with disastrous results.
