have you seen midnight mass ? it has insane blood of christ/vampirism alcoholism allegory idk if that means smth to you but it makes me CRAZY
I have a GRUDGE against mike flannigan because one of the first ideas I had for my thesis was that there lived this demon creature under the church whose blood is mixed into the eurachrist, and its addictive properties keep the people coming back every day. The church peddles this monster as a prophet of god, or even god himself, and any nonbeliever is fed to the monster to keep it alive. It was like this whole thing about transactional faith and what if the church demands more than god and this whole thinkpiece AND APPARENTLY IT'S THE PLOT TO MIDNIGHT MASS
