springtime got me thinking about aardman movies again 😌
you can tell which robin is a persons favorite by asking them which one they feel is the most unhinged, and that certainly says something about robin enjoyers
This is the Longleat’s Christmas Festival Of Lights (2025) featuring Wallace and Gromit, Chicken Run, Shaun The Sheep, Morph, Creature Comforts, Early Man and Robin Robin.
Fictional characters that I headcanon as alterhuman/speciesqueer and why !
Not my usual content but whatever this is my blog and I can do whatever I want :P
Robin Robin concept art by Matthew Forsythe
I got to go to the aardman x young v&a exhibit the other day so here's some of the pictures I took (plus me matching with my boy Shaun)
Awesome! Timmy is such a cute little lamb, a great cousin, and like all little ones, quite restless. I love him, he's so sweet. The first time I saw him, I wanted to hug him.
His moments in the series are incredible, like when he grows giant and goes into King Kong mode. When he blackmails Shaun, everyone has a good laugh.
His mischievous antics. Adorable but not as innocent as he seems, Timmy is a little lamb who uses a pacifier and has a tendency to get into comical and often dangerous situations.
As if it were a 360° turn, we have Robin, who practically It's quite the opposite. Timmy is restless and Robin is calmer; she also demonstrates great bravery by saving her adoptive family from the fearsome cat.
Robin is very easy to understand; we never meet her biological family, and a friendly group of mice takes her in as one of their own. She's like Tarzan or Hercules (in the beginning), but a thousand times better.
Like many of these stories (most of them beautiful), Robin feels like she doesn't fit in because she's different from everyone else. But her family understands her and makes her feel included, supporting her and lifting her spirits.
Although Robin Robin's animation is beautiful and moving, even to tears, my vote goes to Timmy; he's charming and fearless.
Which is better?
Timmy
