=> Be the tiny robot
Or not.
John's been rolling around in his slightly better size for all of a week now. Being the size of a child brings perspective to things he had never seen before and being able to touch them and analyze things quicker made it easier on John's processors for how quickly he was flying through his learning. He was still intent on studying the videos of Sherlock and John's interactions, courtesy of Mycroft himself, in an attempt to make Sherlock happy.
If he was more like the real John, Sherlock wouldn't be so sad anymore. Christmas at the Holmes Estate is
interesting
Staying there for five days is another thing entirely. John had a more than amusing and fun time feeling the estate out. Though he had no care for any of the visitors on Christmas day, John was happy to explore when Sherlock was asleep.
He'd gotten his processors quite wound up from all the information and felt it time to change into already. Though perhaps it was more impatience than actually needed the extra server space.
John was just intent on knowing what was on the strange thumb drive.
He'd been denied so many times with trying to use that now he was just wrought with needing to know and his processors were just filled with so many questions. Most of which he could answer through looking it up for meanings but none gave him what he wanted and this was a crucial point in his robotic life time.
What if it held the secret?
The chance to be human?
John wouldn't take his chances so lightly, so when Sherlock and he had arrived back at the flat, John followed Sherlock about, picking things up and serving the other while Sherlock moved about the flat.
They stayed up for a few hours before Sherlock got "tired". The other simply wished to close his eyes, not that sleeping was a thing for him.
Just like John, though with John it was more being forced to sleep when he didn't want to which Sherlock never did. So when he did stop his processors, he was happy to just snuggle with Sherlock.
That was the word for it. Or nesting, so he was told.
John was also more eager to figure out what in the world something he had seen called. He'd remember to ask Sherlock when the other wasn't "getting ready for bed".
They laid down and John didn't want to overheat or hurt Sherlock with his working fans, so he waited until the other was settled. Connecting to his charging station, John waited, closing his eyes to slowly take in his next programming.
This would take more than an hour however. Hopefully Sherlock wouldn't get frightened with John's inanimate nature while downloading his new software. He'd get back to what seemed to be his normal height and then hopefully, more like the John Sherlock knew.
The one Sherlock wanted.
An Inch Helps
John was informed of Sherlock's trip and he felt..well the tiny Persocom didn't know how he felt, simply that his circuits did not bode well with the whole idea. But he wouldn't voice such things because Sherlock was the master and he could do what he liked. Not to mention how unreadable John was. As a machine, he could control his expressions and in hand the emotions he conveyed. If he didn't want something to be known, it would stay that way.
So he went about doing another upgrade.
Being a laptop would make it easier to process multiple things simultaneously and he could attempt to access the thumb drive he found the other day. Though he wasn't home, John was safe enough with Sherlock's friends. Devang was nice enough to help plug him into an outlet and John's update started almost immediately.
It took more three hours to do the full update and John grew five more inches. Making room for the larger hard drive and his own growing processor. Another port appeared on the back of his neck, under his power button, the headphones looking slightly more comfortable looking on him, fitting to his size while he managed to do checks of the new systems. Intel core i7, 16GB of memory and a solid state drive with 512GB.
Hopefully someone would wake him up soon, now that the download was finished, so he could get right to work. Unfortunately though he needed to wait for now.
1Up
John was alone in the flat and though were he still human he'd be lonely, this John was simply patient. Sherlock wasn't back yet and John needed to charge anyway. He sat on the edge of the coffee table, swinging his legs off the edge. He had one wire attached to the charging dock while another wire connected John to the the television.
Long blue cords hooking him up and John was curiously looking through a sea of data racing across the television screen. John was currently in the middle of trying to upgrade himself to a better, faster and more flexible program. The poor little persocom was convinced Sherlock would not think him obsolete if he could preform more advanced executions.
MagicAnon: John gets turned into a laptop sized persocom and has a clean slate of programming. Means Sherlock can choose what John can and can't do. *subtle cruelty ftw*
[[placing a time limit on this because it’s an M!A. Will end it after John gets upgraded to Super Computer size. (Maybe a day or two just to play around with it) I also may take the liberty of making John still as animated as he normally is while being this robot thing. Depending on how Sherlock takes to a wiped John]]
John was moving about the flat when the magic hit. One minute he was walking to the kitchen and the next, everything went black.
He woke up in what felt like a few minutes, which really was two hours. There was a whirring sound and a small beep before John blinked. There was a kit sitting right next to him full of upgrades and instructions. Probably even an instruction manual however the doctor was simply a tiny little thing.
He got to his feet, standing at three inches tall, looking around with a curious gaze. Data filtered through the blue orbs, a set of headphones over his ears and he was at a loss why he was laying on the table. John looked around, finding everything had grown in size, his processor filtered through the new information before he moved to look for Sherlock.
Unfortunately one of the many wires connected to the left side of his headphone was plugged into a strange hub for outlets. He tugged helplessly at the wire, trying to detach from the docking station because he didn’t need to be charged anymore.
That thought gave John only two seconds to question before it was normal for him. He started beeping in his frustration, attempting to get his master to pick him up. His current programming was that of a cellular device.
