Plot #3: Digital
In the world artificial intelligent robots have been made as companions towards the living. These robots are made to look perfectly like a human, aside from their eyes. Muse A is in need of a companion bot after too many heartbreaks and decides to buy Muse B. Muse B is a top of the line companion bot who is programed to do whatever their owner wishes them to do no matter what it is. What isn’t known about this product is that there is a small fault in the program, what nobody really knows. Arriving home Muse A sets to showing Muse B around, telling them what they are meant for. Somebody to keep Muse A from being lonely and to keep them feel like they are sane. Muse B understands, wiring it into their program that Muse A is not to feel alone and to bring them back down to earth if they seem to be going a little crazy. Muse A comes to depend on Muse B more and more as they spend time together, forgetting that they are a robot built for their companionship and not somebody that they just met and took into their home. After nearly a year of Muse B living and being Muse A’s rock they’ve come to depend on Muse B more than anything, even falls in love with Muse B. Muse B feels something too, something they shouldn’t because it’s not in their programing. Their wires change something inside them, the so called fault coming out. If loved Muse B can change, their bodies turning human. It is when Muse B’s line is recalled that they must leave; try to hide what is happening to Muse B from the ones who created them. But the manufactures know what is happening and send repo men out to grab Muse B and bring them back. Muse A is determined to make sure that they never fall back into company hands.
