1) What are three odd things about you?
I prefer Rice Chex to sugary cereal.
I didn't learn to really swim until I was 17, despite the fact of being in the pool several times a year.
I have a scar on my knee and I have no idea where it came from. And it's not a tiny scar, it's like the size of a dime.
2) Why do you think eyebrows exist?
3) Right now, you must write the epitaph that will appear on your tombstone. What will it say?
It'll probably be something generic. But really I'm only 25 and I hope to live a long life, so hopefully by the time that time comes something cool can be written there.
4) How do you view spirituality? Is that the term you’d use for it?
I believe there is the possibility of something. Though I'm a firm believer in evolution, maybe it didn't exactly happen as we think it did. I'm currently in the middle of a fiction novel I'm writing that deals with the afterlife and other kinds of spirituality, and it's really letting me explore and think about everything.
5) Do you believe we are all connected to one another? The universe? Why or why not?
6) Is there something you’ve encountered so far in life that has had such a substantial & positive influence on the person you are now that you’d just love to share it with any & everyone? (Such as a book, movie, person, event, etc)
I don't think it's just one thing. Everything/everyone we come into contact with, good and bad, shapes who we are. For some, maybe there is one major thing, but to me, it's really everything having an effect. Because maybe that one big thing wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for the small things. For me, I thing the only big thing I had was the HS, mainly the surgery I had to have for it. It really freaked me out. I was 13 years old with this big patch of no skin under her arm and they were going to cut it open, drain it, and stitch me back up, but I was freaked! My grandmother (of course) spent the whole time from when we made the decision to go ahead with the surgery, telling me all the things that have gone wrong with other people in surgery. Now what I was getting was a simple, in and out in 3 hours deal, but of course she made it worse.
She is also, I guess, another big thing. At that young age I didn't see how bad of a person she was, until that time, and I did some things I'm not proud of because I thought it would be something she would do, you know? But after I saw how bad of a person she was, I changed for the better, because I never wanted to be like her. Not at all. I'm not perfect, not by a long shot, but I'm not her, and that's all that matters to me.
7) What is ultimately the best flavor of ice cream? (If you like mixing things, feel free to include that!)
Such a simple question after such a thought provoking one. Cookie Dough. Vanilla is pretty awesome too because you can mix it with anything, or just have it plain if that's what you feel like.
8) Are you the same person you were 2 years ago? How so?
I think I'm pretty much the same, which is totally lame! Still working at ChaCha, and I think 2 years ago I worked briefly with Avon as well. Hopefully this answer changes by 2015.
9) What would define a successful life for you?
Being okay. Being stable. Sure I talk a lot about having a huge house in Anaheim Hills and such, but that's dream status. Real life status, I just want to be stable. I want to know bills will be paid every month with a little left over for savings. That I don't have to live pay check to measly pay check. That I can live in my house and I don't have to worry about not missing a mortgage payment and being evicted. That the job I have doesn't suck old balls and I actually enjoy what pays the bills.
10) Do you believe everything happens as it should, that we have the ability to alter the future, or that it’s all simply a cause and effect with no predetermined outcome?
I believe in predetermined outcome but it's not very linear. I believe it's more like a tree. We start at the bottom, and as we live our life we're faced with choices, and our choices not only effect who we are but what our life amounts to. Our big choices branch off in different directions and we have to chose a path. Sometimes the paths pass over/under other paths, or get tangled, and they mix with other peoples branches, and it's all mapped out for us, but we still have to chose our destiny. Some of us make good choices, some make bad, and some of us have our choices ripped off the tree so we can't choose them.
11) What is something you would truly love to do? Don’t worry about prerequisites, no money needed, no travel required, none of the ifs ands or buts. It can be anything.
I want to write. I want to be good at writing. I want it to pay the bills, I want it to be made into movies, I want my writing to change peoples thoughts and make them think. Even if it's not world wide (but I mean with movies it might be) I do want to change how some people thing. I want them to think more. Sure the books I write may be fiction, but the ideas in them aren't.
