Elections 2016: The Vice President

Note: Again, we have different political views, but altogether, we shall hope for a brighter tomorrow. :)

“The country needs a mother to protect and serve it well.”

I finally found one. I finally found someone who can protect the nation as a whole. I finally found someone who will definitely walk her talk.

Her name is Leni Robredo. She may look like she is not yet ready to take on the next highest position on our country, but her actions made me vote for her.

She had her own road. She did not campaign for 90 days connecting the name of his deceased husband. She laid her platforms well. We need a legit public servant. We need someone who can reach out even those in the outskirts of towns. She did it before, therefore she can do it again.

She never said she does not want to work without her running mate. She just said she can work better if she wins together with her President. I hope she wins. I hope she really wins.

I hope the country can choose someone who is really deserving to be the next vice president. What I have is definitely NOT A SYMPATHY VOTE, what I will cast tomorrow is a FIRM VOTE. I will vote for Ms. Leni for we cannot lose someone who has served the countrymen well. We cannot lose someone who has not shown any incompetence and was not accused of anything.

Together with Senator Miriam, I hope the nation would be better if she works with someone like Cong. Leni. It is not that the others are not capable, it is just that these two great ladies can build a brighter and better Philippines. Two iron women. Two great people for a better country to live in.

It is not her, it is her party. Her party does not define who she is. She has her own actions. She is a responsible person for our whole nation.

May God bless you tomorrow, Cong. Leni!

Elections 2016: The Next President

Note: We may have different political views, but altogether, let us hope for a brighter nation.

“Tomorrow is the day.”

Tomorrow is the day the Philippines will be electing the next President. Tomorrow is the day the Filipinos would be filling up the highest position of the land.

But, I hope the Philippines get to have someone who is worthy of that position. May the Filipinos vote wisely and choose someone who really can do the work of being the President. May God bless the Philippines tomorrow and forever.

For me, I choose Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago. The reason why is so long I may be writing this post until tomorrow before I vote. She has everything a President must embody. She is an iron woman. She is world renowned. She is just that great for Philippines to lose her again for another six years.

24 years ago, she wanted to be the next President. 24 years ago, circumstances have not made her the one. 24 years ago, she fell short.

12 years ago, she wanted again to be the next President. 12 years ago, she did fall short again.

4 years ago, she was diagnosed with a stage 4 cancer. But as iron as she is, a year ago, she wanted to run again for the President post. Surveys may look like she is losing against her rivals, but I know she has that power to change the minds of the doubtful.

I pray to God that our country shall not lose this person again for the third time. She may look weak due to her continuous medication, but that does not mean she is DYING already, as what her hesitant voters think of her. I believe to what she said that her guardian angels are not yet killing her. This is maybe because she still has to serve for a greater purpose, and that purpose maybe is that tomorrow is the day she finally gets to land in the Presidential chair and do the works of a rightful President.

Tomorrow, may the Filipinos choose the right one. Tomorrow, may the Filipinos choose Miriam.
