Moorish fairytale castle Rocchetta Mattei by Robert Schüller Via Flickr: Rocchetta Mattei is the name of a romantic castle built in the mountains near Bologna by Italian miracle-maker Cesare Mattei in the 19th century. Cesare Mattei, inventor of "Electro-Homeopathy" lived there after its completion in 1859. Crowned heads and celebrities from all over the world consulted the miracle healer here. In 1847 he was even raised by the Pope of Rome after a generous donation even to the count. Also Empress Sissi of Austria and the Russian Tsar are said to have belonged to his patients. After being restored by a citizens' initiative of the city of Bologna, the Rocchetta has been open to the public again since 2015.
