my rock collection :D
a few weeks ago someone asked me about my rock collection but I was traveling so I couldn't properly respond! It is now time :)
(this is not a sexual or mature post but Tumblr gets mad when I don't tag my stuff like that so this is tagged as mature but it's Rocks)
I realize that probably when people think/say rock collection they're thinking more like polished rocks and/or crystals organized and maybe labeled or like one display shelf or at least that I would know what types of rocks they are, but my collection is more of a hoard based on vibes :D
When I travel I tend to bring home some rocks/shells/etc. and I'll put all of those in a jar and label the jar with where it's from and the year. I also will sometimes add feathers or buttons or other interesting things I find that feel like they encapsulate the place I'm in.
I recently got more of the little jars with cork stoppers so I can organize my Oregon and California collections! The Oregon one is the big mason jar and the California one is the one with all the tiles because I went to the beach after the big fires a couple years ago.
I also do have a mini rock Tumblr (the Nat Geo one!) so the berry carton is filled with rocks I want to tumble :D
