This picture showed up in Facebook memories this week. . . . It's from our Maine vacation in 2012, the last summer Caety was with us. (She's on the left, her brother Stephen's in the middle, and cousin Emilie on the right.) We had an oxygen converter with us that summer, which Caety mostly needed when going upstairs, as climbing stairs puts more strain on the lungs. It broke my heart when she tried to jump waves in the ocean with her brothers and cousins but had to stop because jumping took her breath away.
