It wasn’t often that you got the change to go on late night drives with Abbacchio but whenever you got the opportunity you always cherished the time you two spent together. You tried your best to stare out the window, but it was always so tempting just to look in his direction and admire him instead.
“What is it?” Abbacchio had clearly noticed you were staring so much.
“Nothing.” you respond, but you can’t help but smile. You still can’t believe that you’re lucky enough to be his and that he’s yours too.
“Hm.” although he doesn’t look in your direction, you can see his lips curl upwards even if only slightly.
You’re tempted to tease him about it, but you quickly decide against it.
Back to staring out the window... silence.
You notice that when a certain song comes on, Abbacchio turned up the volume which makes you look over at him once more.
“...This song reminds me of you.” he admitted sheepishly.
Now that was cute. You knew how much Abbacchio loved you and cared for you, but it was rare for him to actually admit things like this. He was the type who often thought that “traditional” relationship things were stupid - things like wearing matching shirts, making playlists, and writing each other little notes so to hear him say something like this melted your heart.
“I didn’t realize that you had a song that reminds me of you.” you can’t contain your smile anymore, you’re practically grinning to yourself at this point!
“Tch. Is that so weird? Of course I’ve got a few songs that remind me of you... I think most things remind me of you.” Abbacchio glanced over in your direction for just a moment, but man this was so embarrassing to admit for him.
“You’re always on my mind, you know...”
