It’s been a little over three weeks since my last piece.
This one took a bit longer, partly because I spent some time just wrestling with the concept and getting the sketch to feel right.
Once the idea clicked, I dove into the painting... and got caught up in all the little things: the lighting on the faces, the expressions, the folds in the clothes, they all took longer than I thought.
But I hope all that time and detail help the image connect with you.
