🚨FEATURE FRIDAY🚨 This is Rodrigo Alves, he has become infamous as the “Human Ken doll” spending approximately $883,000 in over two decades on plastic surgery. He’s had 10 nose jobs, face lifts, butt implants, muscle and pectoral implants and many other procedures. 💠 Before one jumps to judgement for his personal choice, let's learn a little backstory about how his plastic surgery obsession began. As a teen he suffered with a hormone dysfunction which caused his breast tissue to grow at the rate of his female peers, resulting in being constantly teased for having "boobs". He was picked on tirelessly by his peers, who mocked him about his weight and appearance. They would say he has a “big nose” and “potato nose” and called him“jelly belly”. He was beat up, pushed down stairs and had his face pushed against walls and even urinals. He said, “Growing up I felt alone as nobody wanted to be friends with me. Because of my body image and the fact that I was shy, I avoided social situations.” 💠 At age 17 he couldn't take any more and began his two decade long plastic surgery journey with his first surgery removing his excessive breast tissue. Since his initial surgery, Rodrigo has had a total of 59 procedures spending over $883,000. His infamous look has gained notoriety and earned him thousands of dollars for appearances. He “put himself through so much plastic surgery and so much pain” and has even risked his own life in the pursuit of happiness. 💠 Rodrigo was on the cast of Big Brother UK Edition and had this to share with housemates: “I don’t recommend for anyone to follow my journey. There have been complications and it has been a long road. In life you have the decision to be whoever you want to be and do whatever you want to do, as long as you don’t cause harm to other people. Ultimately, I did what was right for me and my choices have not hurt anyone." 💠 Although Rodrigo's story may be too much for most, it's his story and he would rather be who is today than the sad, scared and ridiculed teen he once was.
