My little guy is turning 5 today! I love his greying little snout, it's so cute! Time flies.

He waited patiently for me to tell him he can start eating his food. He really is such a good boy.

Puppy update, Roef is here!

He has been here since friday actually but I was tuckered out and didn’t have the energy to post until now. Puppies are hard work, he’s a very easy puppy so far but still a puppy. I’m loving it though. Helmer is giving me the most trouble. He likes him but it’s also a little much for him, he is an old man after all. But he’ll get used to it.

Haven’t talked about it on here yet but a couple of days ago Roef managed to hurt his dew claw on a wooden crate while he was having the zoomies. The claw was crooked and bleeding a lot. Went to the vet and she didn’t to think it was that bad initially, she thought the angle the nail was in was because the nail was broken. So she gave me antibiotics and painkillers and the advice to soak the wound 3 times a day for 10 days and come back for x-rays if it hadn’t improved.

I had a feeling it was actually not the nail that was damaged but the joint and had called a couple of times to see if they had time for me, which they did not until this morning.

Turns out it was actually very bad, his dew claw is currently getting amputated. (unless she manages to save it somehow but she wasn’t very optimistic about that outcome)

I know he’s probably going to be fine but I can’t help but worry. And I’m already on edge because Helmer is having surgery next monday as well.
