As part of trying to detransition someone, this can include threatening to take away resources if they don't live with the transphobic parents

It's worth pointing out how many of these ROGD parents are religious nutjobs who would have thrown their gay/lesbian kid out in the past. These soppy, self-pitying, and cringeworthy poems are found on PITT. This anti trans parenting community has a significant number of religious extremists estranged from their trans relatives due to being bigoted. These parents aren't the kind who are merely a tad skeptical that transition will benefit their relative; they are hostile and ideologically driven to prevent transition even if it is likely to help the poor relative.

SSRIs are probably overprescribed, but there's no evidence they cause gender dysphoria and the genital claim is very dubious and definitely doesn't happen in most patients.
