Meet Vesper Aequorea, the main protagonist of Rogue Queen!

Vesper is a former pirate captain and the founder and leader of the guild Horzion's Edge. She and her guild are focused on easing the suffering of the less fortunate while also cleaning up the rampant crime problems in the nation of Noctilia. Vesper was called by the organization of knights in the faraway nation of Larantia and asked to investigate the strange crime sprees happening there.

Vesper is usually very calm and collected, and is able to take most things in stride. It's because of this that she's very hard to read, which annoys her enemies to no end. She's snarky and sarcastic, extremely prideful, and can even be cruel to those who earn her scorn. But this thorny mask of hers hides a softer side; she has a heart of gold, loves to learn and have fun (even as dangerous as her idea of 'fun' is), and enjoys physical affection, though she'll deny it as long as she lives.

Vesper is a Dreamer (a type of person that we'll learn more about later), and she controls the elements of wind, ice, and water. Her favorite weapons are her rapier, dagger, flintlock, and shortbow; she also enjoys forming ice claws on her fingers to slash at her foes. She can deal a massive amount of damage, but can't take a hit very well; that being said, her enemies have to actually hit her, as her agility and movement speed are incredible. She can shapeshift into three different creatures: a raven, a wolf, and a dragon.
