Blackwall stepped back from the little rocking griffon he was making and gave it a nod. Damn fine work. Especially around the eyes--though the whole thing was made of wood, the details around the eyes seemed to cary a playful expression, even glinting a bit in the daylight. “Not too bad... Oh, sorry. Vald crouched at the edge of the treeline, eyes scanning further down the beach. Rumors told of darkspawn nearby. He’d only had one encounter with them a few years ago, but it was enough to keep him far, far away from their tunnels and lairs. But now, despite his better judgement, he was scouting the Storm Coast for signs of darkspawn. “Do you sense anything, Warden? Or should we keep moving on?”

     HER SLIPPERS WERE FINE, she supposed. As far as shoes go they were...  well, they certainly were shoes. Beaded purple,  pointed things that squeezed her toes most uncomfortably.  SO GAUDY!  Even for Adhlea who always had a taste for  EXTRAVAGANCE. 

     She takes off one slipper and then the other, breathing a sigh of relief as feeling rushed back into her poor feet. Though far, far beneath the ground this great bridge she stood on was WARM against her soles. Surely thanks to the ever moving swirl of magma and fire beneath them. Never before had Adhlea been so close to molten lava that she could feel the heat of it on her skin. The elf leans carefully against the stone barrier, ENTIRELY ENAMORED, and when the thought of dropping these hideous shoes into this fiery sea crosses her mind it does not linger-- only because she has already done it.

      “Savh.”

Damn but he always got nervous around the other Wardens around Skyhold. There weren’t many, and his setup in the stables had been out of the way enough to keep most anyone from randomly traipsing by him, but it was only a matter of time before someone got near. And of course, with his luck, it wasn’t just any warden, but The Warden. As he noticed the dwarven woman heading towards the stables, Blackwall made a b-line to his workbench, hoping that maybe if he appeared busy, he might not be bothered.

When he was young, Séaghdha often got scolded for wandering too far away from the camp because he was chasing something - butterflies during the day, and fireflies at night. For a long time as a child, he thought they were spirits, little bits of the Fade crossing over to the physical. He always found it very comforting, knowing that the world he experienced in his sleep that brought him so much joy was there with him when he was awake, too. And even though he obviously learned they were just bugs, they still hold a particular sentimental value.

When traveling, he can often be caught on the outskirts of the camp, sitting quietly in the twilight with a gentle smile as he watches the fireflies.
