A New Red K

Ok so we know in Smallville Red K makes Clark lose his inhibitions. That’s cool and all, but hear me out.

Way back in the 70s, in the Super Friends cartoon, there was an episode called Rokan Enemy From Space. It was like a dragon thing.

What if the Rokan species was like prehistoric Kryptonians, and Red K de-evolves Kryptonians to their base form: i.e., the Rokan.

So in Smallville, the longer Clark is exposed the more Rokan he becomes. Here’s what I’m thinking:

Immediate Exposure

- 1 Day to 3 months

- removes inhibitions, more aggressive. The Red K Clark as we know and love/hate

- immediate removal of Red K = insta fix

Moderate Exposure

- 4 months to 8 months

- Rokan aspects show. Appearance of scales, skin discoloration: more purple hue

- Lasting effects, Needs prolonged removal from Red K. 2 week recuperation

Prolonged Exposure

- 9 months to 1 year

- body metamorphosis: wing growth, eye crystallization, bone structure begins to take bird like appearance

- longest cool down time, ~2 months recuperation

Permanence

- Over a year of constant exposure

- full Rokan transformation, complete metamorphosis into draconic like body

- mind has completely devolved to primitive state, solely impulse driven

- no cool down and unable to be reversed

Lemme know your thoughts on this take, should different kryptonite have long term effects on Kryptonians to better resemble the drug allegory? Or am I doing too much?

Has anyone ever annotated the Underbase?

Yes, in fact this was the original goal of the so-called "Brain Trust" on Cybertron, millions of years ago. Boltax, Tallus, Decanus, and Rokan had each independently tried to annotate their growing database of accumulated wisdom. They were plagued with questions: how can they be sure the data could never be corrupted, or lost over time? What about changes in the meanings of their words over time? Who should have access to this wisdom? The debates about the database expanded its size exponentially and made the chance of any consensus seem remote.

Eventually, Boltax realized that their annotations used for "understanding the database" were growing so large that they dwarfed the database itself. He observed that the search for deep understanding is the genesis of wisdom. Stunned with his insight, the Trust now deferred to him, calling themselves his Disciples. Knowing that his search must never cease if the Underbase were to stay up-to-date, Boltax became an immersant, merging into the skin of Cybertron itself, and using its energy to fuel the development of the Underbase.
