I also think it’s neat how the new Superman movie threw in characters like Guy Gardner Green Lantern or Metamorpho with only the most minimal explanation of what their deal is. Feels like a rebuttal to all the complaining about “having to do homework” for MCU movies.

A lot of good choices, but I'll have to with Scooby-Doo. But what's your favorite from this list?

VOODOO VAMPIRE (1980)
Mr Terrific is the type of man to let you get off while riding his thigh, while he works. Because he wants to get work done, but it’s also some sort of power play to make you think he’s disinterested in you getting off which couldn’t be further from the truth. He just likes to see nonchalant about it.
He’ll whisper small words of encouragement in your ear while you do so, while his eyes and hand remain focused on whatever task you interrupted him from. And he’ll make you sit there when you’re finished until he’s done with what he’s doing.
But don’t worry, when he’s not at work you have his man’s full attention. His mind, his hands, all of him. He’ll convince himself you’ll leave him alone tomorrow if he tires you out enough tonight, but he knows damn well that doesn’t work. And you’ll be right back on his lap tomorrow. He’ll occasionally use this to rub in Guys face, just to annoy him. It does effectively make Gardner jealous and he goes somewhere else to throw a fit.
Deep down, Bruce belives in Superman. His split second, gut instinct is that Clark Kent will save the day. Oh he has contingency plans and threat assesments up the wazoo, because he's Batman. He wraps himself up in paranoia and planning because he is convinced nothing is what it seems. He stockpiles Kryptonite because years of trauma and self-doubt have left him convinced that everything will go wrong and it will be his fault. But when the cards are down, when he's falling, Batman trusts that Superman will be there, Bruce sees Clark and in his heart of hearts he knows he'll be safe.
