Voilà ça fait plus d’un mois que je n’ai pas posté sur ce blog. Non, je ne vous’ai pas oublié. Je vous’ai dit que j’allais réduire la fréquence. En fait ça fait un mois que je n’arrête pas de travailler pour Rolling Pearl et d’essayer de finaliser mon site web. Comme vous pouvez constater, la mise en ligne du site web de Rolling Pearl a pris beaucoup de retard…mais je suis fière d’annoncer que le site est enfin en ligne! 

Comme il est tout frais, il y aura certainement quelques problème d’affichage par ci ou par là, ou quelques erreurs de traductions. Il faut savoir qu’à chaque petite modification, il faut tester en français, en anglais, en version pc, en version Ipad, en version Iphone, avec le navigateur Chrome,  Firefox, Explorer, Safari…, vous voyez le travail?

Ici je partage quelques photos “backstage” qu’on a prises dernièrement pour Rolling Pearl. Le lieu: la pépinière où je suis hébérgée, la photographe: la jolie Eve de www.beaauuu.com . Je porte une robe noire Irié Wash , un chapeau vintage et un collier que ma maman m’a offert pour mon mariage.

It has been more than a month that I haven’t posted anything on this blog. No, I haven’t forgotten you. I told you that I was going to reduce the frequency. Actually, I haven’t stopped working for Rolling Pearl trying to finalize the website. Some of you may notice that the go live of Rolling Pearl’s website was retarded but I am proud to announce that it is finally live!

Since it is very new, there will certainly some bugs like display or translation problem. You just have to imagine that for every single update, even minor, has to be tested in French, in English, with a pc, an Ipad, an Iphone, with the different browsers, Chrome, Firefox, Explorer, Safari…., imagine the work?

I’m sharing here some backtage photos that we took for Rolling Pearl recently. The place is the incubator where I have my new office, the photographer is my lovely Eve from www.beaauuu.com . I wear a black dress from Irié Wash, a vintage hat and a diamond necklace offered by my Mom for my wedding.

A must visit place in Calvi and some news on my personal project

A NEW START

UN NOUVEAU DEPART

Aujourd’hui c’est la rentrée scolaire. C’est parti pour une année pleine d’aventures. J’espère que vous avez pu vous reposer pendant l’été. Cette année j’ai passé mes vacances d’été à Calvi. La region est belle et nous avons découvert beaucoup de coins très sympas et très sauvages même pendant le mois d’août. Cette plage sur les photos, elle s’appelle la plage de l’Alga. Elle fait  partie de mes endroits préférés, surtout quand on y va très tôt et quand il n’y a personne. La route pour y accéder est très abîmée, emprunter cette route en voiture c’est vraiment une expérience à part. La vue d’en haut est superbe, la végétation dans les environs est typiquement corse et ça sent bon les herbes du maquis. Et pendant la journée, en bas face à la jolie plage avec de l’eau claire, on y trouve un restaurant en paillote Mara Beach que je vous recommande vivement. Il est très bon et l’ambiance est incomparable. On s’y sent vraiment en vacances.

Tout ça pour dire que ça y est, je suis prête pour un nouveau départ. J’ai déjà un  bureau, un lieu de stockage, il ne manque que le site internet pour démarrer. Non, en fait il manque encore beaucoup de choses mais je me suis fixée le mois de septembre pour avoir un site beta en ligne. De toute façon on ne sera jamais prêt à 100%. A la date d’aujourd’hui, j’ai un site web qui est 90% fini en anglais en version pc mais qui n’est pas du tout opérationnel en version mobile ni en français. Je peux vous dire que je passe énormément de temps maintenant sur le développement du site. Je n’ai pas encore beaucoup d’articles non plus car la plupart de mes déposantes étaient en vacances ou en déplacement en dehors de Paris. Mais ne vous inquiétez pas, je serai prête! Je suis quelqu’un qui arrive toujours à la dernière minute pour prendre le train mais qui a toujours réussi à monter à bord. Restez donc avec moi, je vous annoncerai ici quand le site de Rolling Pearl sera 100% opérationnel.

A NEW START

Today is the back to school (and back to work) day in France. Another year full of adventures to come. I hope that you had a great summer vacation. This year I spent my summer break in Calvi, Corsica. The area is very beautiful and we discovered a lot of very lovely and quiet natural reserves in the surrounding, even during the peak August season. The beach on the photos is named “plage de l’Alga” or Alga beach. It is one of my favorite places, especially if we go there very early in the morning, when there is no one. The road to get there is actually very bad with huge holes everywhere, driving your car there is actually an experience by itself already. The view from above is truly stunning, the greenery in the surrounding is very typical Corsican and it smells the local aromatic herbs, just divine. And during the day, down the path below, facing the beautiful beach with the crystal clear water, there is a nice restaurant that I highly recommend. The food is very fresh, perfectly cooked and the atmosphere there is just unbelievably relaxing. We really feel like we’re on holiday, totally disconnected from the real world.

All that just to say that I am finally ready for a new start. I already have an office, a storage place, there is just the website to finalize…Err, I wish…No, actually there are still a lot of things to do but I have given an objective to myself, that the website should go live in September, at least for the beta version. Anyway we will never be 100% ready. Today the website is finalized at 90% in English for the pc version but it is totally not ready and not operational for the mobile version yet and it is definitely not translated to French yet. So I can tell you that my focus today is on the website development. Oh…, actually I don’t have many items either as most of my sellers were on vacation or were not in Paris. But don’t worry, I will be ready! I am someone who always arrive on the last minute but I have never missed my train or flight because of that. So stay with me, I will make an announcement here when Rolling Pearl’s website is 100% live.
