i´m working on writing my research project, and i´m focusing on studying the works of Terence (from kind of a linguistic point of view, hopefully it will turn out something exciting, will definitely share it here anyways), and just kind of wondering if anyone here on tumblr has any good recs for books that talk about Terence, Roman Comedy, or Early Latin!
Fun fact! Roman comedies (specifically around the 2nd punic war) were separated between "fabula togata", which took place in Rome, and "fabula palliata", which took place outside of Rome (often around Greece). Each type had a specific way the characters were portrayed.
