Fun story, I have tried to romance Danse with Atticus. The problem is Atticus for some reason was one of the glitchiest play-throughs I have ever had and I didn’t even play him for that long. He has like <24 hours logged on him and I played him over the course of like two weeks. He also is a purely vanilla play-through, I wasn't even playing with mods at all yet. Idk what happened but I feel like I have enough of a grasp of the character to bring you some quality headcanons. Also spoilers for the end of the game just in case.
He always dreamed of having a family, at least two kids maybe even more. With a Sole with a womb (idk how else to say it because not everyone who has a womb is female or female presenting and not every female has a womb) he is super crushed that he can’t give them a baby biologically since he’s a synth . Synth Shaun helps fill that hole but I’m sure at some point he manages to convince Sole (of any gender) to adopt an orphaned baby they came across.
He’s very touchy in private. Some part of him almost always has to be touching Sole when they are near each other. Hand holding, cuddling, arm around the shoulder or touching, hand on thigh. The man can’t leave them alone.
Despite being very dominant in his work life, in his home life he is very neutral. He let’s Sole lead when they need to and he leads when he needs to. They share a lot of the responsibilities of being a couple.
Contrary to Bethany Esda’s engine capabilities, Danse owns more clothing than his BoS issued uniform. (Okay that one is a little more general but whatever)
Sole abandons the BoS for Danse after they finish up destroying the Institute. Together they make a little home in Listening Post Bravo with Synth Shaun and eventually their baby. They work together with the nearby settlements, mostly Greentop, and become a little farming family.
