“Jake, are you home?” Margaret stepped through the front door of their home and closed the door before Hunter could escape in his excitement. With her free hand, Margaret scratched the wolf behind the ears. Her other hand was occupied with holding a beautiful bouquet of red roses she specifically bought for Jake. It may have seemed silly to buy a man like himself something like flowers, but it was the message behind them that she wanted to convey.
When she spotted him coming around the corner, her smile brightened even more than it was before and she held the flowers out with pride. “Here, I got these for you for the Flower Festival. You know what the red roses are symbolic for, right~?” Her cheeks were tinted a delicate pink with slight embarrassment, but she couldn’t deny that she loved Jake with every bit of her heart.
