I have this really bad habit of letting asks build up! I need to start responding to some of these... you guys are such sweethearts and I feel guilty for how long it takes me to get around to responding sometimes!
I'll try to space them out so I don't get overwhelmed, so I'll reply to them in bits and pieces. I may not be able to get back to everyone, but I'll do the best I can♥ Here we go!
I use Paint Tool Sai, actually! Its inking tools are lovely. As for brush size, I really can't give a set size! I work with whatever looks good for what size canvas I have at the time, since I usually draw on a very large canvas and resize down. For example, in the comic itself I've used a size 14 or size 20 for the most part, so at 100% it looks like this:
Drawing in larger sizes can make inking a lot smoother. I've inked with brushes as large as 30 for drawings though, and in the case of the top image I have here I just used a 7 (which is my usual small size brush).

Aww, thank you!♥ We love suggestions like this, I wouldn't have thought to do that! :) I mostly work digitally as of late, but I do have some ideas I'd like to do in traditional media in the future so we can definitely keep that in mind. As for their voices, that's always tough for me to say. Liam I imagine talks with a very nasally voice and tends to be very monotone and sarcastic. Milo would change his pitch and delivery constantly as his music and acting training comes through. He'd probably slip between smooth tones and a very excitable/loud voice almost constantly.

Ah, nope, we're gonna aim to keep the main story SFW. The 18+ material doesn't affect the main story itself and is just meant to fit into it, and we'd like to keep the story itself available to folks of all ages :) And also because it's fun to draw, but that's another thing entirely. We're really sorry though!

Hahaha, thank you! Alfons is fun. :) He actually lost his eye as a baby as a result of an illness, but he'd sooner tell you a far more interesting (and less true) story. I'm certain that will come up in the future at some point, but I'm not sure exactly when.

Each other, mostly, and sometimes from friends and family and experiences with people. We've been chipping away at this story since 2007-8ish, and it's sort of become a collection of things Owen and I have written back and forth to each other for fun in a chronological order. Owen's my largest source of inspiration, she pretty much fuels me to wanting to create more. ♥ (sappy to say, but all of the stuff I'm most proud of has been things I've made for or with her!)
