Filmation's Saturday morning cartoon Tarzan Lord of the Jungle (which ran in various incarnations 1976-84) was the first animated version of Edgar Rice Burroughs jungle lord, and one of the most faithful to the literary Tarzan. Learn more in "Tarzan on Film"--and television.

Christopher Reeve appeared as Superman in four films (1978-1987).
John Haymes Newton starred for one season of in the syndicated series "Superboy" (1988).
Gerard Christopher replaced Newton as Superboy and continued for 3 more seasons. (1989-1991)
Ron Ely portrayed a senior version of Superman in a two part episode of the syndicated series (1991).
Dean Cain appeared in "Lois & Clark”(1983-1997) - Cain’s birth name is Tanaka (his paternal grandfather was Japanese). This ironically making him the only actor to play Superman who actually comes from an immigrant family.
Tarzan (Ron Ely) and three nuns played by The Supremes (Diana Ross, Cindy Birdsong and Mary Wilson) in the Tarzan television series episode The Convert, broadcast January 12, 1968.
Interestingly enough, that episode also guest starred Darth Vader James Earl Jones.
