wondered why people hated jelly donuts when I hadn't even tried one before . I tried one for the first time this morning and after the first bite I had to resist spitting it out ... I get it now

I want to talk about the qwel drama a bit , but I think I have a bit of an unpopular opinion so before anyone flames me for this just think about what I say
people I've seen talking about it are forgetting crucial information , and that's that qwel was manipulated by rox . people mention it , but they completely forget what manipulation can do to people and we have no way of knowing if what qwel said was genuine or not , and I wouldn't be surprised if she was told to stay silent about knowing about rox being a creep
everyone also seems to be forgetting how difficult leaving manipulative relationships can be , it can be easier for some but it can be incredibly hard for others , especially when you're being manipulated . plus , if your friend was being attacked for supposedly being a bad person , I'd say most people would be quick to believe their friend instead of the people attacking them
a huge issue I have with this fandom is how the majority immediately blames qwel for everything , I've seen so much crap just finding reasons to hate her no matter how small or unreasonable . the person who made that video and started this whole thing is MASSIVELY biased against qwel and is obviously just trying to get people to turn on her
the only evidence people have for saying qwel is just as bad as rox is because she didn't immediately leave him the moment she knew about the stuff he did . as I mentioned before , it can be extremely difficult to leave those relationships !! jumping to conclusions with such vague evidence just seems stupid to me honestly
everything else she did was also years ago , and for some reason people forget that growing and changing as a person can happen . I've done some messed up things before but that doesn't necessarily make me a bad person , it doesn't make anyone a bad person unless you count so many other factors other than just actions . being a good person and being a bad person are social constructs , it's so much more nuanced than that .
I don't think qwel is a bad person , but she definitely has flaws and I will acknowledge that . literally nobody is perfect and people are seeming to forget that she's human too . I think the only mistake she's making right now is shutting the server down , and not speaking on it at all . I do hope she apologizes soon
edit: I don't want this to come off as me excusing her behavior !! I just think it could be good to find explanations for what she did so we can have a better understanding of it . she's making a lot of mistakes right now and she does need to work on her flaws that have caused harm to others
