VERY BIG NEWS FOR ME ❤️‍🩹 I'm mentally well enough to where I don't need regular therapy appointments anymore , I don't think I'm mentally ill anymore !!!! I'm finally like actually better

I'm of course gonna explore mental health / illness in characters but I'm glad I finally overcame it myself :o) having an actual sense of self and real confidence is really nice man I'm not taking it for granted ever again

I'm very much suspecting I have bipolar 2 , specifically because before being medicated I had literally all the symptoms and the medication that works for bp2 worked on me . when I got hypomanic I was really under the impression that I was finally better mentally or whatever because I had so much energy and could finally do things I thought was worthy . but now I think it's safe to say that I'm actually better now !!! never kill yourself /silly

my art process because people have requested it !!!

I'm gonna draw shrimpo as an example and try my best to explain how I do specific things . bear with me I'm not the best at explaining LOL

all you really need also is just a pencil ( I like to use mechanical so it's more controlled ) and an eraser . I'm so serious

basic shapes !!! basically a base for adding on details . I don't like to make mine very complex , I usually divide the body into 2 pieces . for the arms and hands , I actually like to draw the hands first ( or the base of the hands ) and connect the arms to them !! it makes it easier for posing in my experience

then I like to add details !! I end up spending a LOT of time on this stage , I'm a perfectionist and I like to get it as close to how I want my line art to look as possible , I think it helps it look cleaner

line art !! this part can take me a little while , and it's hard to get line weight to look good if you haven't done it before . I usually apply line weight to where lines make a sharp corner , where lines end , and parts I want to stand out . for less important details , use the same pressure you would for sketching

make light lines in spots you want shades to be separated , just so you can keep track of that stuff . this isn't too important but it helps me a lot

after that do some sort of "coloring" with your pencil !! basically , change the pressure of your pencil for different shades of grey . try to get it as even as possible ( or don't . your choice LOL )

shading !!! use the same technique from the last step , and just darken the base shades from there . this can take some practice , I used to be terrible at it but it gets easier !! you can also do softer shading if you don't like doing hard / cel shading

I hope some of that is like at least a LITTLE helpful ... again idk how good I am at explaining LOLL

one of my favorite things to do when shipping ragebait is imagining them as a healthy relationship but in like . a more realistic way . no relationship is perfect and I like imagining what would happen if they were to hurt each others feelings or misunderstand each other or even get angry at each other , and then how they would figure out how to solve it and make up . they're my comfort ship and I want them to be more realistic rather than a "picture perfect couple"

I'm writing a small fic right now and ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 I get to describe finn's room a little more than I did in my last one ... in my brain he has a few fish tanks in his room and he leaves on their lights at night so he can sleep better

he has a shit ton of sea animal plushies on his bed and gets sad when he knocks some off in the middle of the night 💔 he has a goofy fish alarm clock and a desk for his photo album and stuff ... I think about this a lot can you tell
