klavier + bedroom!
is it any wonder that I have a LOT of opinions on Klavier in bed?
How does this character sleep? (Position, sleeping habits, bedtime routines)
Klavier is so bad at sleeping. So bad. He’s absolutely a night owl, does his best concentrating when it’s 11pm and the prosecutor’s office is almost completely empty. And he’s always been like that: being a rockstar with its late-night gigs didn’t force him to learn to behave that way, being that way helped with being a rockstar. Of course, you don’t make it to an 8am trial looking the way Klavier Gavin looks by rolling out of bed ten minutes before you leave, yeah? So he wakes up early, too. For some reason, he seems to be one of those people who thrives on very little sleep, but there’s definitely a line that he tends to toe from time to time. He’s absolutely made himself sick from exhaustion before.
Again, you don’t get to be Klavier Gavin washing your face with a bar of soap, so his bedtime routine (and wake up, let’s be honest) is pretty involved. Maybe not ‘8 step Korean skincare’ involved, but probably five or six steps most nights? hair and skin masks from time to time too.
When he does sleep, though, it’s in the very center of his very expensive king size bed, primarily on his side with two pillows under his head and an arm bent between them. When he’s alone, I think he often falls asleep with his phone in his hand, with music playing through his headphones.
What are their pajamas like?
Depends on who is joining him ;) Nah, but really, I feel like he sleeps shirtless in drawstring PJ pants. He works hard for those abs you see in concert and on the cover of magazines, he’ll take any chance he can to show them off. Even if it’s just to himself when he walks by a mirror. Of which there are many.
What do they dream about usually?
Things he’s frightened of: Kristoph’s lingering influence from behind bars, a solo career without Daryan and the rest of the Gavinners, getting something wrong in court and sentencing an innocent. Things he misses: his mother and the sound of her piano, Kristoph in the days before their parents’ death, the roaring of a crowd as he stepped onto a stage. Things he wants: well, you know.
How neat/tidy is this character?
Not very? Klavier is one of those people who becomes very involved in whatever he’s doing (whether it’s songwriting or pouring over a case file) and tunes out the rest of the world. Eventually, when whatever pressing matter has been resolved, he’ll come to his senses and clean up the clutter. But he has someone to clean his condo and do his laundry and collect his dry cleaning so, how tidy does he have to be, really?
How affectionate is this character?
So very affectionate. In words, of course, but also in light and surreptitious touches, in the attention and time he dedicates to the people he cares about, in the arm tucked around the waist of the person sharing his bed, pulled close against him in sleep. Klavier gives affection freely, to people he barely knows with only the slightest bit of prompting. It’s accepting affection from others that he struggles with.
I am actually curious, when you have more than one project, like maybe getting these prompt requests and having a multichaptered fic, for example, do you try to start and finish them one by one or do you make progress on all of them little by little?
conclusion; I’m awful. I can only make progress on things when I’m able to get into the mindset that story requires. So what I’m working on kind of depends on my mood? I bounce all over the place.
I just binge read not so gentle encouragement AND IT WAS SO GOOD!! GOD BLESS THEY ARE BOTH SO STUPID I LOVE IT ITS SO IN CHARACTER FOR THEM!!! EMA WAS THE ONLY SMART ONE IN THIS AND KLAVIER TOOK HER ADVICE LITERALLY IN THE MOST DUMBASS WAY POSSIBLE ITS SO FUNNY FJJSFJKSFJJD THANK U SO MUCH I HOPE SHE SMACKS HIM
THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING THAT THE ENTIRE THEME OF THAT FIC IS:

2. how many houseplants in your room, and what kinds are they?
Oof. So let's say in the room I’m sitting in right now? At this very moment?
Pilea Peperomioides: one mother plant with a TON of baby offshoots
Golden Pothos: 1
Marble Queen Pothos: 1
Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma: 2, although one is a cutting and I don’t think it’s gonna take.
Philodendron White Wizard: 3 cuttings I’m trying to root
Pink Princess Philodendron: 1 actual rooted plant and 16 cuttings I am attempting to turn into new individual plants.
Raven ZZ Plant: 1
Varying Succulents: IDK, like 65?????:
Total? Too many.
5. 5 tv shows that cheer you up
MISS FISHER’S MURDER MYSTERIES - self-explanatory.
Avatar the Last Air Bender - self-explanatory.
Hilda - self-explanatory.
The Great British Baking Show - self-explanatory.
Ouran High School Host Club - SELF-EXPLANATORY
10. something you’ve created in the last year that you’re proud of (a playlist, a piece of art, some writing, a craft hobby, a social media account, etc)
Once I finish delicate I will be very proud of it. As a whole, cohesive story, I don’t think it’s my best work. But there are small parts of it that break my heart a little thinking about them, there are parts that I think are particularly beautiful, there are parts that I think are very real, there are parts that I think are the best writing that I’ve ever done.
Just need to finish these last few scenes.............
But, since that’s a cheating answer since it’s not done yet, I also recently renovated a 120-year-old house and I am particularly proud of the decorating job that I did considering 95% of it was either stuff we already owned or things that I bought for pennies second hand.
Particularly proud of this bathroom.

Ace attorney?
You got it, dude!
Favorite character: I want to pretend that this is a hard question, but, no. It’s Klavier Gavin, it’s always been Klavier Gavin, and it will always be Klavier Gavin. I’m sorry for being predictable.
Second favorite character: This, however, is a hard question. I’ve been in love with Maya Fey from the moment she was introduced, but Ema Skye? Also a babe. A science babe. I adore her. And then there’s Apollo. Wonderful, loud, takes-way-too-much-shit Apollo. How could I choose?
Least favorite character: Hm. I feel like answering with any of the characters you’re supposed to dislike is a cop-out. So, of the potentially likable characters? I guess it would be a tie between Larry, Athena, and Nahyuta. I like the purpose of Larry, but he just annoys me to no end. Athena is precious, but I never really got on board with her storyline. And Nahyuta. Such a good concept. Such poor execution. Fandom Nahyuta can stay, tho.
The character I’m most like: Maya? Datz? I don’t know, you tell me.
Favorite pairing: Predictable again. Klapollo. But I also love Ema/Kay, Maya/Franziska, Metis/Aura, Blackquill/Nahyuta, Clay/Apollo, Blackquill/Klavier, Klavier/Darian, Phoenix/Edgeworth, and so, so many others.
Least favorite pairing: all het pairings except the delites? Edgeworth/Gumshoe? I get it, I just don’t get it.
Favorite moment: So many. The end of Bridge to the Turnabout, though? When all three games are ties up so neatly with one overarching theme? I still remember the awe I felt when I first played it. It’s masterful, okay? The whole original trilogy is.
Rating out of 10: 100000000000/10 I didn’t decide this, okay? That’s just the way it is.
3, 9, 12 ? 🌸🌸
I feel so spoiled!!!!! Thank you!!!!!! 💞💓💞
3. your favourite “grounding” activity (anything that involves using the hands/doesn’t involve “spacing out” or escapism - something like gardening, knitting, dancing, cooking)
Gardening. Probably not at all surprising given my last answer but I really love taking care of plants! I really feel like there’s nothing more grounding than sticking your hands in a bunch of, well, ground. And there’s something about being able to watch the efforts of your labor grow and thrive before your eyes? It’s kind of magical. Also plants = pretty.
I also like wandering around an empty house singing to the ceilings and, occasionally, pretending I know how to play the piano.
9. a quote that you would consider getting tattooed or putting in a frame
I came very close to having “and i have grown out of that thinking that would not let me live or give” from The Sun is Often Out by Patrick Wolf tattooed on the inside of my arm a while back. (suicide trigger warning if you go look that song up, jsyk)
12. if you could make a candle that smelt like anything, what would you pick?
This is going to sound so weird. You know how sometimes it rains really hard, and then there’s this pause, yeah? The ground is soaked in puddles that haven’t managed to fully permeate the ground and the sun is starting to peek out from behind the clouds, but you can feel that more rain is coming? The water is clutching to the air and you can still smell the ozone from the lightning and feel the rumble of far off thunder deep in your bones? That smell, but specifically in the fall, in the freshly paved parking lot of a suburban strip mall from the 70s that’s half-way full of cars. And besides the storm, you can smell the wet mud that a car driving past splattered all over your work pants mingling with the exhaust produced by cheap gasoline and the last puff of cigarette smoke your friend exhaled into the sky before the end of their break.
I’d call it “Youth”.

8, 27, 29, if you want to :')
YAY! Thank you!!!!! I had SO much fun answering these! ❤️❤️❤️
8. if you were going to write a non-fiction book on any topic, what would it be?
PLANTS. Specifically on the phenomena of variegated tropical varieties: the genetic mechanism behind them, investigations into the rate of natural occurrence in the wild, best care/soil medium, how best to clone/propagate them, etc. I already talk about this to a nearly fanatical degree over on my Instagram (so many people are spending hundreds of dollars on these plants and don’t understand the basic principles behind them! I feel like it’s my duty to educate!) so I feel like a book would be the logical next step. I’ve met the person who first made the Thai Constellation monstera available commercially in the united states and know a lot of other people who have far more experience than I do, so the book would probably be more like a collection of advice from various enthusiasts sprinkled with some scientific research I conduct on my own on the side :)
I actually desperately want to start a podcast called “Eclectic Eccentrics” where each week, I’d invite a new and super cool neurodivergent person in to teach me about their latest hyper fixation. I want to highlight and celebrate some of the joys of being adhd/autistic and the amazing variety of things that you can learn from it when you stop viewing it as only a negative that needs to be fixed. I’d spend the first episode talking about plants to start us off and go wherever from there!
27. your favourite flavour and brand of tea
I was actually never a big tea drinker until recently. I always have about 5 boxes of tazo Passion tea available at any given time because it is the only tea that comes in a bag that I will voluntarily make for myself. I will drink earl grey and english breakfast but only if other people are drinking it too and it would bee too much effort to make myself a separate cup. Love matcha and chai lattes though. Can’t get enough of that stuff.
29. a favourite easy recipe: 5 ingredients or less, or takes less than 30 min to make
Rich Baked Chocolate Puddings - Five ingredients if you subtract the garnish, 25 minutes of ACTIVE prep time, but it takes 40 minutes total. Obsessed with these, I make them all the time. Never actually in a jam jar though.
Eeeee, thank you so much again!!!
