For Dragon Age Day, here’s my 3 rooks I have so far
Esmee Mercar, Qunari, Shadow Dragon, Mage
Romance: Lucanis
Tish Ingellvar, dwarf, mourn watch, rogue
Romance: Emmrich
Enrico de Riva, human warrior Antivan Crow
Romance: Neve
Game Vs Art: Enrico de Riva
I have seen a couple of these around so I thought I’d give it a go. Though I’m terrible at making notes, even more so for Enrico. He mostly looks like his game model, but I always picture his blind eye closed.
RRAU Story: Leaving the Nest (1/6)
Catch up: Enrico is dating Valhail Dravenhart, son of a Tevinter magister, he wants to marry him, but he is unable to for several reasons. His stepmother, Bruno, comes up with a plan to reclaim the throne of Vinsmoke and make Enrico his heir to elevate the lads position. However, there is just one more hurdle he has to overcome…
“So, let me know if I got this straight…” Viago rubbed the bridge of his nose, trying to push down an oncoming headache caused by yet another one of his protégés. “You, a broke ass man, who is not a mage and also a disgraced Crow, want to marry the son of the head of house Dravenhart, one of the wealthiest families in all of Thedas and who will one day set to inherit the seat of magister. But can’t do so until your gender fluid stepmother, who you slept with, takes back their throne in Vinsmoke and makes you their heir.”
Enrico sat across from him and nodded. “Yes, that is correct. What don’t you get?”
Viago sighed annoyingly. “I thought your time away from us would have put your head on straight. This though, this is something else…” He paced his office before sitting back behind his desk, opposite Enrico. “Why come to me?”
“Well, you see…” Enrico cleared his throat. “I may be disgraced, as you say in your own words. But I still carry the name of our house. There was a time I would have jumped at the chance to go back to how things were. But my time away…you are wrong, it has changed me. I WANT to be better. But I know the Crows don’t have a very good history of just letting people go.”
Enrico stood up and walked around the other side of the desk so that he stood beside Viago looking down at him. After a moment of the two men staring at each other. Enrico lowered himself down to his knees, hands on the floor and bowed his head so low his forehead touched the floor too.
“If I am to become the Crown Prince of Vinsmoke, I NEED to leave the Crows, alive ideally and with your blessing,” he said, keeping his gaze fixed on the floor.
Viago raised his eyebrows to this action, this was not the arrogant, cocky, young lad he sent away at all.
He let Enrico stay in this position for a bit while he formulated an idea in his mind. “Get up.”
Enrico raised his head questionably, but for once listened to his talon and stood.
Viago stood up and walked over to the window. “That decision, to let you go freely, is not one for mine to make alone. I may be able to convince the other Talons. However.”
Enrico began to feel joy for this but it was quickly dashed when it was clear he had not finished.
Viago turned back from the window to look Enrico in the eye. “You must do something for me first. You have heard of the Hall of Valor, right? I will grant your request to leave house de Riva and the Crows on one condition, you must assemble a team to represent us at the Hall of Valor and WIN.”
Enrico’s eyes widened, “Mierda, how do you expect me to do that?!”
Viago smirked and patted him on the shoulder. “You want to be a Prince, right? Then prove to me that you are a leader.”
--------------
Enrico stood in front of the Lighthouse notice board, slightly annoyed at some of the comments about himself written on there, thanks to a certain prank pulled on him and his love. But he lets that go, for now.
Putting up the note he really came to post.
Viago has tasked me to put together a team to fight in the hall of valor for the Antivan Crows if you are interested sign up here. I’ll owe you a favour if you do.
With that done, he heads back to his room to prepare his armour and weapons.
One by one, other crows sign up on the notice board and word spreads to others, ready to join the fight.
To be continued…

Enrico de Riva
Originally I was going to name him “Henry”, but I wanted a more Antivan name (even if he doesn’t have the accent)
