When one of the members of the Ruby Squad, Navy, falls from Space and crashes on Earth, Steven decides to make some room by sending her to the barn with Lapis and Peridot, but Lapis senses something is off about all of this with her new barn-mate. “Room for Ruby” premiered on this day, 9 Years Ago.
Okay, here's something from Steven Universe that I always wondered about...
At the end of the episode "Room For Ruby", Garnet shows up with two balloons that she brought along. Due to the outcome of the episode, she holds up the one that says "Sorry for your loss," but the other balloon says, "Welcome to the party!"
This implies that there was a chance that Navy would've joined the Crystal Gems for real, and I wonder what that would've been like.
What would've convinced Navy not to betray them?
What would the new group dynamic be like?
What would Navy's role be?
I feel like Navy could've used her deceptively sweet manner of speaking to the Crystal Gems' advantage in some situations
Do you guys know of any fanfics where Navy becomes a Crystal Gem? I'm sure there has to be at least one, but I've never really taken a close look at the SU fanfic scene
