Roommate!David had broken his foot, which meant you would be spending time helping him do some things. At first you didn’t mind, but then David soon became dependent on you for a lot of things. At one point he took it too far by whining for the remote which was literally on the coffee table, nine inches away from his hand. He called you into the living room, asking you to hand it to him.
“Get it yourself, it’s right there,” you snapped.
“I’m too weak to get up, and my foot...” David trailed off, staring at you with puppy dog eyes. You rolled your eyes at him, shaking your head.
“David, you can reach out to grab it. I’m sick of doing everything for you, your foot’s broken, not your hands,” you reminded him. For some reason he became more needy than usual. So needy you ended up feeding him one day, and you’ve had enough about it.
“Until one of you requests is moving you to a different room, or getting your pants on don’t call me,” you demanded, heading back to you room to finish an essay. David’s face scrunched up, and he reached for the remote, changing the channel. Starting to think maybe he was taking advantage of you.
