thoughts on what kind of music/books/tv shows draco and astoria would enjoy!

Oh yes this is very interesting !

Okay so for music I think Draco at first would be more into the classical side, maybe a bit of opera as that is the type of music he is used to hearing around the manor so it kind of just sticks with him buuuuut overtime he finds rock and has a lowkey love for it but will only ever listen to it in private so people don't find out ! For Astoria, I believe she'd love any type of music and her favourite songs range over numerous genres ! Her guilty pleasure music would be pop though and sticks by her view that there is a pop song for everyone !

Book wise, both Draco and Astoria are 100000% into classics and most definitely have the full collection of the penguin clothbound classics collection ! Draco's favourite is Great Expectations and Astorias is of course .... little women ! I can also see Astoria being a huge lover of romance novels and she is a sucker for a real meet cute, fell in love at first sight kinda book !

I'm not crazy into tv shows buuut I can so see Draco and Astoria watching shows like The Crown and Bridgerton but also watching shows like Drag Race ..... they have range ✌🏻

Ah yes !!

Funnily enough .... This is actually based on a prompt you sent me on Instagram all those months ago that I started on and never finished ! This is a little ficlet for my collection "Memories to last a lifetime" where on his way home from work one summer evening, Albus comes across a little flower shop and his eyes instantly settle on the sunflowers as they remind him of Scorpius ! It's very messy at the moment and I've only 200 words written for it but I'm excited to get back into it some day (and thank you for the prompt, I love it so much)

Here's a little snippet :

As he walked, headphones blaring as they muted the world’s song from his thoughts. He watched people pass, some running home after their own work days finished, others taking in the limited sunshine they got and using up every last second. He watched as shop owners closed their building for the night, readying them to open again at first light the next morning.

1. How long ago did you start reading fanfiction? Writing fanfiction?

10. What’s your favorite fandom, pairing, or character to read fic for?

Definitely cursed child ! It's the only fandom I read for ! When it comes to pairings I do love reading Scorbus and Drastoria but I am a huge lover of reading the more platonic pairings whether that be between friends or family members ! One of my favourites is James and Albus !

39. What’s something about your writing that you pride yourself on?

I'd have to say how much I've improved in such a short amount of time ! It's been less than two years since I began writing and I can definitely see the difference between my old content and what I create now and it's a lot better than it used to be !

ahhh YAY for Hogwarts Finest! a few q's - is theo parkinson related to pansy parkinson? and who has been your fave character to write so far? also, can you share a little snippet or a line that you're particularly proud of? (if you want to ofc!) 😊

Ah thank you ! 

Theo is related to Pansy ! Theo is her son and is in the year above Scorpius and Albus. Pansy is a character I love and Theo has been a OC of mine for awhile but he just lived in my mind for a long time ! 

So far I would actually have to say either Aoife or Tia. Aoife has been a lot of fun as I am finally able to get my vision of her down in words and dive into all the ideas I had for her ! As for Tia, I’m kinda surprised at how much I’m enjoying writing her ! She is very quiet and very shy but when she’s on the Quidditch pitch she really comes out of her shell and I’ve really fallen in love with her character even after only written little snippets of her so far ! 

Here’s a little snippet that brings a smile to my face ! It’s not the most amazing descriptive snippet but it’s the first moment we see the teams reaction to Scorpius being on the team ! 

The adrenaline flowing through him allowed him to push forward and soon enough the snitch was in his grasp as he landed, his broom under his arm as he admired the gleaming gold in his hand. From his right he heard people clapping and as he looked over he saw all of his teammates together, cheering for him. He felt his cheeks heat up with the embarrassment as he tried to hide the smile threatening to break across his face at their approval.

🧑 favorite character to write?

There's so many I enjoy but if I had to choose a favourite it would definitely be James Sirius ! His character has always come so easy to me when writing whether it be a fic centred around him or one where he plays a secondary role ! He's a character I relate to a lot and one I feel very connected with so o always have a blast writing him and he's always so much fun to write ! Special shoutout to Albus and Astoria though, they are two character that I truly love to write and are very close favourite to Mr Jsp! I always have so much fun writing them !

oooh, also, just because I don't actually think I've asked this before... what does "Hogwarts Finest" refer to? a team, a game, characters themselves? I've always assumed a team for some reason!

Okay so, I can’t remember if I ever shared where the name came from but here we go ! 

I got the name Hogwarts Finest after coming up with the idea for the competition (I have an ask about the the layout coming up so I won't go into detail) but the end product of the competition shows the “finest” when it comes to Quidditch at Hogwarts so Hogwarts Finest just made sense ! So technically it comes form the “game” as the competition is based on Quidditch games !

wip word game: jealous, happy, angry, sad!

I don’t actually jealous in any of my wips so apologies for that buuuut I do have the other three .... or we’ll variations of them !!

Happy - Oh nothing” he replied but his friends weren’t conceived. He continued by saying “just happy, that’s all”. (This is from my Yann Fredericks wip called Now or Never)

Angry (I had to go with anger here) - Scorpius felt the air be pushed out of his lungs at the news before anger overtook him. (This is from a future addition to my Scorbus collection called Busted Lips and Much Needed Cuddles)

Sad (went with sadness here) - The glint in his eyes was masked by a blanket of possible worry, maybe even sadness. (This is from my Fred II wip which incomves his friendship with Jsp)

Here’s a little sneak peak at a Potter Brothers moment from my Scorbus Olympics au to make up for not having anything for jealous !!

“I’m really proud of you …. you know. I don’t say it enough but seeing you the last couple of months, putting in all that time and effort and to see you be going to the Olympics …. it just makes me really proud” James spoke, placing his hands in his pocket and letting his head drop a little. Albus could see a slight pink tint across his shallow skinned cheeks. Albus nudged him with his foot causing James to lift his head. “Thanks Jamie”
