June 4
According to legend, Roquefort cheese was discovered on this day in 1070 when a young shepherd abandoned his lunch of bread and ewes' milk cheese to pursue a beautiful young lass. When he returned to the cave many months later the cheese had grown a layer of mold, hence the creation of Roquefort cheese. Imagine all of the delicacies we haven’t discovered because we refuse to eat the disgusting crap tucked inside our sofa cushions or beneath our car seats. Maybe I'll make croutons out of the pizza crusts underneath my bed. With enough salad dressing no one will know the difference.
