The fact that they have those in the training center is in itself is very funny to me like how does that count as survival skills? I guess whoever organized the place was too lazy to take out all the gym equipment

i constantly joke about celine losing her mind and being disappointed if she learned that the girls were crushing on demons and rumi fell in love with one but i now realize that gwi-ma must have been cringing at seeing his demon slaves ( yes slaves ) were also crushing on hunters

like there is jinu obviously but romance was mesmerized by mira and couldn't stop looking at her during the fan signing event and it's a popular headcanon that the reason mystery barked at the fans was because he didn't like that zoey was talking to them and when she told him it was bad to do that he immediately obeyed her

like if gwi-ma wasn't a giant flaming mouth he would have been bashing his head against the wall and going : what is it with these hunters making my demons weak to their knees NAH one demon falling in love with a hunter was already bad enough and resulted in a half child that i can't control i don't even want to think about what will happen with 3 more doing the same im too starved to deal with this nonsense 😮‍💨😫

I saw many people point out how Haymitch was definitely purposely placed In between silka and panache most likely snow and the gamemakers wanted them to get rid of him as quickly as possible but you know what this also reminded me of?

Katniss too was placed in between cashmere and Brutus In the beginning of the 75th games also highly likely intentionally hoping that she'd be immediately be taken out

Haymitch must have absolutely tried not to lose his mind at seeing this

Now we could talk about how the gamemakers and especially snow is purposely screwing over D12 and wants to get rid of them as soon as possible but other people already pointed that out so I'll see if I can add something to this and how the careers are essentially the capitol personal janitors for tributes they want taken out , like they brainwash districts 1 and 2 and 4 and indoctrinate them into training their children to sacrifice themselves for the games lying to them through propaganda that they " honor and appreciate their brave sacrifices" but in reality these districts are as insignificant to them as the outer districts they are still lesser then the capitol and in no way their equals they just lie to them so that tensions don't reach a boiling point and they can keep demanding large quotas and also have them do their dirty work in pitying the districts against each other by the career districts children thinking their whole lives that they have to dedicate it to serve the capitol and bring honor to their districts but In reality the capitol still doesn't Care about them they are just their personal tools they can manipulate to do their dirty work and if they survive that they treat them like objects not human beings and we all know how far their dehumanizing can go with what Finnick and cashmere had to go through

It's also something that to me shows snow's entitlement and narcissism with how he basically fully expects the careers to attomatically prioritize doing what HE wants to happen even though it's at best a gamble like yeah Brutus was most likely capable of taking out katniss but it was a gamble for him to assume that he'd immediately be able to take out katniss when the road to the cornaccoopia was already so difficult and it was a gamble to assume he'd instantly take her out when he's an older victor and district 2 is surrounded by mountains so swimming is most likely not a constant thing like yes Brutus still made it to the same spot katniss swam to and is in a better health compared to other victors but it was still a gamble on snow's end when he was fixating on katniss and the thrid quarter quell twist was a last minute decision on his end that he didn't think In the long term effects it'd have

( I'm a firm believer that reaping the victors was never going to work in stopping the rebellion no matter how it went, it was going to add gasoline to the fire the outer districts would get even more furious and it was a massive slap in the face for the career districts there was no way this was going to work)

And it was an even bigger gamble to assume that cashmere especially would take on katniss when there are even more factors for her to not be prioritizing it since it's extremely likely that just like katniss main priority was to find peeta as soon as she saw the arena cashmere 's biggest priority was to find her brother who it CAN'T BE A COINCIDENCE THAT WAS REAPED ALONGSIDE HER but hey for him it's easy for everyone to discard a sibling for personal survival after all he discarded sejanus and Tigris just as easily despite everything Tigris did to him and sejanus considering him his closest friend

There is also the simple fact that they all would still have to run to the cornaccoopia to grab a weapon and the road to both was difficult with one being placed on top of a hill and the other needing to swim then run on a rocky road to reach so again massive gamble

( side note but at this point I believe that Francis Lawrence loves parallels as much as suzzane or maybe he picked it up from working with her 😅🤣)

the idea that the saja boys would cringe at huntrix crazy eating is so funny to me

like are you trying to convince me that these boys are not messy eaters too ? where did mystery 's dog tendency go ? and abby was straight up shooting the hot sauce instead of just drinking it and jinu grew up starving you trying to tell me he wouldn't be like kirby ? nah him and rumi would be vacuum cleaners and be happy how much the other is enjoying the food 🤣

Peeta literally sacrificed himself for Haymitch by volunteering in his place how can people think Haymitch doesn't care about him? If it wasn't for peeta Haymitch would have had to fight in a quarter quell AGAIN And in a worse physical and mental state and the people he has known for years including his former mentors and his friend

Like yeah Peeta might have also did that to protect Katniss but their is no denying that he made a huge sacrifice with Haymitch and people can't deny that he obviously cares about him too

Why I think it's important that effie returns in the movie epilogue

( certainly not because I'm biased no way)

like I said before I REALLY hope that if woody is returning as haymitch it's just as important that Elizabeth returns as effie in the epilogue of the movie and I'll try explaining why without sounding insane

I feel like sotr made hayffie stronger for me at least and I must be the only one who thinks that way besides Learning that they go way back and got to meet before haymitch fell in the depths of despair and that he got to meet her outside of the reapings and we got confirmation that she tried looking out for him it really made them stronger for me

Now after the book explored the depths of grief haymitch fell into him , him getting to get to choose to love again is extremely powerful this is a man that experienced a tsunami of tragedy so young and it kept getting added onto every year after that every time he failed adding onto the grief and trauma and through all those undoubtedly hard years he only had his fellow Victors and effie as company they must have slightly helped in him not sinking even further than he already was ( though the bar was in hell )

I think haymitch and effie getting to choose one another is symbolically powerful it's haymitch choosing forgiveness for himself and allowing himself to grief and get to move forward after spending years grieving hed allow himself to get closure and get to be the lover boy he was it's not going to be the same he has changed far too much and hed still grieve that lenore dove didn't get to grow up but after the looming loss the games caused he could finally have room to breathe and find happiness again even if it's not what he expected but things have changed and so did he since he was 16

And for effie it's her chosening to reject the propaganda that has been drilled into her the moment she was born

They both like each other without filters and see past the surface level that each appeared as , it's beautiful and strong

And besides the narrative and symbolic reasons it would just also be a strong nostalgia bait for the fans and shippers and I don't think the directors will waste that opportunity, the trailer already enables the shippers in a way and it's giving me further hope that they would lean into it

But either way guess I'll have to wait for November to see if I'd be proven wrong and if I did well at least their would still be fanfics
