Peeta muttering to himself that Katniss and Haymitch are "just alike" after spending one (1) week with them together is crazy actually

like he's already noticed, thought about, and decided this. and he's not just calling Katniss as sullen & intense as a reclusive grown man with a drinking (and a punching) problem - he's also calling Haymitch a big fake faker that acts like he's above his feelings but is very much not

the fact that people are still arguing over if gale killed prim...when the entire point is that it did not matter if gale killed prim because he openly advocated for the deaths of hundreds of little girls just like prim on the 'other side' and katniss could no longer see those prims as separate from her prim...and the bombs from 13 stole prim from katniss as brutally and absolutely as the sadism of the capitol would have because they were founded in the same desires for revenge and propangada

shoutout to everyone in small fandoms who takes a character with one minute of screentime and decides to build an entire universe around them. to the oc creators, the rarepair shippers, the canon-divergence enthusiasts and the people who can’t stop asking “but what if?” and then proceed to spend 50k words answering their own question.

i genuinely think your joy is contagious. fandoms grow because people see someone having fun and think, “wait, i want to play too.” <3

I rewatched the SOTR trailer and found myself deeply confused by this :

Maybe I’m wrong and didn’t understand what the book was trying to say, but Haymitch DID NOT actually change the Games forever ???

Isn’t that the whole point of the book, if there is one ?

It feels like a desperate attempt to justify the existence of this book/movie, beyond simply wanting to make more money.

For me, it just shows how pointless SOTR is, since they had to fabricate and lie about the reason for its existence.

i love making friends in fandom, i love playing with our toys together, i love coming up with increasingly niche aus, i love lifting strangers up, i love motivating people to create, i love watching someone get excited over an idea and immediately running with it, i love yelling in tags together, i love seeing someone gain confidence in their writing/art because people were kind to them <33
