The planet was supposed to be red, but it wasn’t, not here, not with feet on the ground. The explorers sucked in the air in their suits and looked all around them. “It’s not red,” one said. “It’s more like pink.” Another space traveler shuffled her feet in and watched a little cloud puff up around her white gravity shoe. “Rose dust,” she said. “That’s what we’ll call our first colony. Rose Dust.”
